I don't know many people on here any more, and I haven't been back in a while, but I did want to let everyone who remembers her that my Penny Lane passed away from cancer a few weeks ago.
She was diagnosed with mammary cancer last March. We had all her tumors removed and we hoped that it had not spread any further, but unfortunately it had. I'll never regret getting surgery for her as it allowed me to spend a few extra months with her, but finally her poor little body just gave out. She passed peacefully in my home as I'm a firm believer that all dogs should pass in an environment where they feel the most comfortable and secure. I think my Penny girl just didn't want to go through another cold, hard, Buffalo winter.
