Just look at that floofy tail! What a beauty you are, Triller Belle. I, too, have a Maine Coon, Specs, and he would fall in love w/you at first sight. What a beautiful kitty you have there - she is lucky to have a home. Unfortunately sooooo many others are not this lucky and as a volunteer for 4 animal shelters, not all no kill, I see perfectly healthy cats and kittens (and dogs of course) being killed because of overpopulation. Please rethink adding to this horrificly sad problem. In this economy our shelters are even more full than before - sterilisation is the only way to stop the suffering and high numbers of euthanisation. I hope you will reconsider - by not having another litter you are giving a chance to some deserving cats and kittens already in shelters. The statistics show that out of every litter of 6 cats, 4 end up dead. This is just the reality and we need to face it and change it. I wish everyone who is thinking of letting their cat or dog reproduce had to go to a shelter and choose which ones were to be euthanized - it might make them realize that the miracle of birth is not so beautiful while so many are dying.

Why is the cat called a Maine Coon when it looks exactly like an orange tabby, right down to the marks on the forehead, the lighter coloring under and over the eye and the darker orange tabby stripes on the body?

Oh, Triller, at first I thought you had your name because of your sweet trilling purr. But evidently Maine Coons (per another post) make this sound instead of "meow." You sure look like you do your share of purring, though...with the closed eyes and looks of utter contentment on two of the pictures. Just seeing you takes all my stress away. Our KatMa was thrilled to meet you today as are we, my baby brother Felix the Prince (Maine Coon) and me, Norman the King (Marbled Tabby Bengal mix). The youngest brother is Baby Rascal who used to be a stray until KatMa got him into the Palace. He's thriving in spite of being FIV+. Felix and I live upstairs in the Palace and B.Rascal has the bachelor apartment 'cause if he would bite us, we could become FIV+.

You are an awesome beauty and your purr~sons are so lucky that you are their Queen. Have a great day; a wonderful honour for a very special pussycat. Live long & prosper: loved, cherished, well cared for and safe which is what every pet deserves.

The outside kitties (strays that poor excuses for humans have abandoned) send their best. Our KatMa feeds Ebony (over a year now), Wee Kitty who looks like me! and black & white kitty who is very, very tiny. KatMa wishes she could find homes for them.
