One of the things I miss about working in downtown Chicago is the summer farmers' market. They were (are) held in a couple of different locations and I would often buy flowers. Going home there would be people carrying farmers' market flowers home on the train. I saw gladiolas on sale at the supermarket, and that is one of the flowers I used to enjoy bringing home from the farmers' market. The one at federal plaza had live music on the first Friday of the month, too- so you could bring your lunch, listen to music and leave with something from the farm.
When I went to Russia with the church team there was a street market near our hotel with beautiful and inexpensive flowers, and pretty hand-made crafts.

We have a year-round farmers' market, about a 20 minute car ride from our house. I love it at any time of year.
There's a great garden store right beside it where I used to work many years ago. At lunch, I would walk over to the market and get some produce.
They all sound fabulous! We have a countless number of them around here, I just couldn't pick a favorite. Some are a lot pricier than others however. I can't wait 'till pumpkin time rolls around, gonna carve a white and an orange one this year 🎃👻💀
Been a month since I had ONE day to myself. That day is tommorrow. I feel like crying, husband was on holidays for two wks. then his uninvited Mum came out to stay for two wks. I am so relieved. I thought the bloody fun would never end 😖😶
Mother in law will be back in October and then Dec. she has announced she needs two cataracts lasered and they need to be done here as she lives in Zhiquataneo and it is more affordable and there are better docs here. They must be done one at a time and I totally understand that. There is no way I will let her drive whilst here as she will be visually impaired and I hope she doesn't drink herself blind as she will be half assed blind for a bit I imagine. That 75 yr. old woman could drink a biker and a sailor under the table....🙄 So many stairs here, 3 floors. God help me, I hope she behaves herself. I am just dreading this whole ordeal. My husband will be working and she has never really liked me for the 30 yrs. I have known her. SO sorry to whine, just imagine it will be a dreadful experience. I actually think she might want to stay for months until both eyes are done. 🤧😰😢😪😬 Just had to get that out, thanks buddies...just stressing about it 🙈 👊🏾✌️

I certainly do. And John McCain would have made a president just as great, even though he was a political rival!

I miss having a gentleman in the White House.
Donald Trump is cringeworthy. He has made his bed and
he'll lie in it. He will go down in history as one of the biggest DB'S who ever lived. No question about it. No one will feel squat when he dies except his family. Of course J.M. will always be remembered with admiration and deep respect and awe.
Please don't vote Donald freaking Trump in again peeps. Jesus, you really actually voted the freak in once.

Aww, thanks so much. That means a lot, more than you know. I just need to change, family is important and she is older, as we all will be if we don't croak beforehand. It's just that she is so demanding and takes over the whole household, what we eat, when.... blah, blah. I'm adjusting, she's not too freaky unless she gets really drunk. I can't control her drinking as she drinks all day, and says she is going to read. Then she goes downstairs to her room and drinks vodka on top of all the wine. Hey, the woman has had cancer thrice and is almost 80. We don't have booze here, she buys her own.Who the hell am I to tell her what to do🤓 Point is, deep, deep, very deep down she is a good person and I love her. 😬😳 Okay, truth is the chicks unbearable..let's just keep it real 😇 Thanks again so much for the support. 💕

Good to hear. I have never heard him utter one kind or intelligent word, just self serving crap. He is everything no one wants to be. He is like a greasy, used car salesman. Slick, quick and sleazy. I could go on for decades about how immoral, self serving and corrupt this individual is. I think he has lowered the bar perversly and corrupted the spirit and integrity, the very heart of what it is to be a man. He is just a puffed up, narcissistic worm. Yesterday my husband said that he thought John McCain had more integrity and class on one toe hair than Trump has ever had in his whole life. He also said that Trump is a very, very, very small little man. He doesn't run people down much. Coming from him, speaks volumes...I could not agree more. I hope no ones son grows up to be anything like him. MHO sorry if that was a bit much 🇨🇦

As long as random thoughts. What do you think about all these celebs' leaks all over the net? This, for instance, https://nudogram.com/videos/277/amber-heard-nude-leaked-fappening/. I suppose that there's no such thing as bad publicity and most of videos and photos are "leaked" on purpose.
I think you are right, they leak it themselves. Either way, if one makes videos or gets pics taken that are risque they should expect that they could get out. Serves them right.

Talked to my Mother for the first time in ten years today. We had a falling out and it was beginning to weigh very heavily on me so I rang her up and she talked for an hour with me like that time never mattered. Well, you cannot tell me that wonders never cease. I feel like a heavy burden has been lifted, probably because it has. It could most certainly have gone either way. Just wanted to share something really good my freinds😁 She is a very healthy 79 yrs. old and I am 56, we don't live forever and.... sometimes it not too late to start over. Sometimes it is. 💕👍🏿

How does one change? I am dreading having an uninvited guest. One and a half months, my mother in law is going to stay for one and a half months. Six weeks, that's like 28 days plus 14 more. Give or take. I think I'm gonna stroke out. No getting out of it, I tried. So.. how do I change? Look forward to to the gates of hell opening up and the antichrist planting her arse in my home.... for one and a half months, six freakin weeks, that's at least 28 days, and at least 14 more. I need to get the hell outta dodge. I can't cope with her. I will go insane. I'm done.

If only I had a huge house and enough space for three Saint Bernards ... How fun would that be?!! If I win $1.5 billion in the lottery drawing, I would buy a humongous house and fill it up with fur kids. But three St. Bernards, you're going to need lots of brushes and combs! I'd be glad to help!

Would it be possible to just try to get along? I know that's a lot to ask if you just can't stand the person, but you know that she's leaving after six weeks, so why not try to make it work.
What does your mother-in-law enjoy doing? Keep her busy, keep yourself busy.
Aww, thanks kids! I will stop wallowing in self pity now, it is a very unattractive quality, I realize. What she likes to do is sit in my chair all day, and stare at her i phone, leave a trail of crumbs and dishes from the kitchen to the chair and watch home Reno shows and the property brothers while drinking no less that one bottle of red wine and at least 3 highballs. I'll just hide upstairs when I need a break, there's lots to do upstairs, housework, t.v., reading, kissing cats.....laundry. It is unavoidable, I have a few months to steel myself for the inevitable. It's hard to have her for 2 weeks, I cannot fathom, well...you know. I will just have to let her make a huge mess and clean it all up when she's gone, there. Problem solved. Maybe I was a messy kid, could be Karma.

What does your husband... her son.. have to say about all this? Will he take some responsibility and involve himself with his mother while she's visiting?
Oh yes, he always helps with everything but she always comes when he has holidays, 4 times a year. She will be here when he's working this time, he works at least 12 hours a day. She won't cook or clean anything, believe me, I have asked her many times. It's so weird, I know she can see well enough. She's just lazy and busy on her i pad, drinking and eating. She always says " I'll do it later". Well she never does. Blows my mind. I have gotten angry a couple times and told her to help out, she just gets insulting, pretends to cry and then pouts in her room for a while. Then she'll re appear ten minutes later, want to "hug it out" as she calls it and carry on her merry way, exactly as before. It's amazing really, gotta hand it to her. I am not sure if she is messed up in the head or not, I think she just wants to get her way and knows I'm not sure what to think. Hopefully she will stop coming to visit one day 💀😸🙀
Oh it's all very boring and complicated I know. She has dual citizenship, to keep it and her B.C. Medical ins. She must spend a certain amount of time here, apparently our house. I think she blew most of her wad, travelles the world, last year it was Anrarctica and Cambodia. She just bought a condo in Mexico and her laser surgery is cheaper here, plus she will have free room, board and a chef and maid. Chicks not stupid. Sorry, I'm done, I hope I'm never anything like her when I'm old 🙏🏾😁

I think you need to sit down with your husband on a calm day, and discuss with him a set of written "rules" for his mother to follow while she is here, or she can expect to be told to get a rental room somewhere instead. Make a list - laundry, dishes, whatever, list out every possible chore. Discuss it calmly, and see what can be worked out.
There is hope- she is not the only one who needs to change.

Especially if he's going to be working 12-hour days during her visit. I think an advance plan is a terrific idea. A similar thing happened to my family many years ago when a family friend visited. She wanted to cook for us, but she didn't have a car and I ended up taking her to the supermarket, the butcher, the bakery ... She was having such a lovely time with us (after we had been her AirB&B, restaurant, laundry and maid service for ten days) that she wanted to stay another week. We firmly told her that wouldn't work for us. When she left it was like a three ring circus had just left town. Looking back, we'd have done a lot better with some sort of agenda made out in advance.
(((HUGS))) Wish I was closer and could help you. Kiss your kitties for me
Thanks Karen and cassiesmom. I'll consider it, the list I mean. If she does dishes, there's always dried food left on the plates and cutlery, yuuuck. If she crams them in the dishwasher there's also too much food on them and I gotta do it myself anyway. She does lift her feet up whilst I vaccume however. She'll just ignore a list, I'll get angry. There's no point, that's 30 yrs. of experience talking. I'm just going to do the same as usual, try and get her to clean up after herself and let the rest go. We won't let her come back for a VERY long time after this, at least a year. I'll try and change as much as I can, I don't expect she'll change much...😂

That sounds familiar, exactly my experience! I am so sorry for you, wasn't that dreadful!! I know, unfortunately I can totally relate my friend. Hope she never came back. 😁
You are saints for bearing with me, truly. I just sent Mum in Law an e mail explaining that I expect her to help around the house, help with everything, every day she stays. Only when she is feeling better after her laser cataract procedures of course. I also said that she has been coming for years and never helps out and that I really cannot physically do it all anymore, especially for that length of time. I have DDD and arthritis so I do the best I can but truth be told, she gets around far better than I unfortunately. I know that she will get really drunk, tell all her cronies at the bar and then send me a scorching, resentful e mail. I told her not to bother with that. Either help out at the very least or find other accommodations. I also know she will try to pit her son against me and cry. I don't care, told her that too. You pick your battles and I choose very few. I've had enough. I've been dealing with the consequences of this and shall continue to do so, on my terms now. Oh MY, maybe pray for me....? 😮😳
That went well. Mum in Law says she'll help out all the time, just doesn't want to interfere or cross the line. Not a clue what that means. No way does she want to stay anywhere else. She loves and adores both of us madly and all will be well. Pretty sure that means she'll just buy me lots of stuff, drink more and try to stop eating off plates. Thanks for listening people, I apologize for carrying on so. Thanks again.

There's no way to address this that won't be offensive to some, but I don't care. There are some folks that spend inordinate amounts of cash on pets that are clearly very ill. I just want people who aren't flush, to maybe think about their own health and perhaps keeping some scratch in case they need to spend some on their own healthcare and well being. Just a thought pet lovers.

Husband and I both got flu shots today. Just a reminder in case anyone forgets. I know some people don't get them. I respect those who choose not too but for those who do.... sometimes we forget. I haven't had the flu for at least 12 yrs. I started getting the flu vaccination. The last time was SO brutal. Wouldn't wish that on many folks. Okay, maybe D.T. Definately D.T.

First, it's almost impossible to find well fitting socks.
Second, to make it worse, every pair I buy, is tied together with those annoying little plastic thingy tabs.
I stocked up on socks today, three sets with each two or tree pairs.
When I got home, I took a deep breath, got a pair of scissors and sat down. I started to cut the plastic tabs, very carefully, to separate the socks. Each tab was entangled in the sock fibers, as to annoy me even further.:(
One set had tabs on the toes, heels and top!!!
I bet it was faster to manufacture the socks than untangling them! Is this supposed to discourage shoplifters? Or potential customers?
Those socks better be the most perfect fitting socks ever!!!:D

Try livening in a home with a beloved but slightly demented Golden/Poodle who insists socks are to be eaten. She eats the toes out of my socks if she can get them, and the heels from Kermit's socks!

I am also grateful for Pet Talk too! Are pointsettias really toxic for cats? I never get one because I always get conflicting information. I also wonder why Lily bit out me out of the blue yesterday. It was really deep and once she dug her fangs in she shook her head and let go. Big, bloody teeth marks??? First time for everything, I'm sure I'll never know. Lily has her reasons, no doubt. 🤔🙁

They are only mildly toxic, not as dangerous as we used to be told. Here's a good explanation: https://www.petpoisonhelpline.com/poison/poinsettia/
And why did Lily bite? Because she's a Kat - all the reason you need!
Thanks Karen! I think we'll pass on the old pointsettia again as we do with the tree too. Too much potential for disaster. As for Lily.... 🙄 I have no comment! A very Happy Holidays to you sweetheart!! 🎄

Thank you, Karen and Paul (whom I never had the pleasure to meet here on Pet Talk)
You know you are really pathetic when a girlfriend you haven't seen in ten yrs. invites herself over and she'll be here this Wed. You realize you only have two Christmas cards, and put some of the ones you saved, cuz they are cute out so she'll think you received more cards than you actually did. Then you realize one of the cards is one that she sent you last year. The other one is blank, one that's left over we didn't send and the other one is to my husband from our 2 cats 😸😼🤔
Truly, I have too much time on my hands. My freind is beautiful and would never notice I'll bet. She is a Jehovahs Witness, loves dogs, people and has not got a judgemental bone. I wonder if she'll like my new tattoo. It's a full sleeve and I just got it done 3 and a half weeks ago.....all at once. It's all healed but still a bit itchy. Pet talkers, never do it! I like the result, the artist was the very best professional but it was pure torture. So painful, freaking brutal freinds. I have a very high pain tolerance and I gotta say, torture is the best description. 6 hrs.lotsa blood. Like it now though.
A Poem for Lily
Lily is a feline goddess
She is the queen
There will be no rhyme
Lily does not care
It's Lily's world
Not ours, ha-ha
She makes every rule
She's heartless, she's loving
Her beauty is beyond compare
She's vicious and sweet
So playful and spirited
Sleepy and gluttonous
Unpredictable, so scary
Every day is Lily's day
Her heart is wild and free
Never underestimate our Lily
Never tamed, no rules for her
So beautiful
Never take her for granted
Always a kitten to us
Vulnerable and sweet
Violent and spooky
Most gracious, terribly evil
It is little Lily's world
Make no mistake
She takes no prisoners
She expects excellence
Deserves the best
Lily gets what Lily wants
Impossible one wee cat
Such a delight
So violent and unpredictable
A joy to behold
Her spirit burns so bright
She is love
I just really wanted to express my love for my cat today. I will have to do that for Mia when I am moved, otherwise I'll feel guilty.
Mia is so fragile
So old and sweet and kind
She puts up with her rowdy sister
No choice, must blow her mind
Born with 3 legs and does not care
She never missed a beat
I was born this way, Mia knows
I only need 3 feet.
Mia is a precious cat
She is the sweetest freind
Her heart is made of solid gold
We'll love her 'till the end
We never saw a cat so proud
She stood up tall and fine
One paw short, who gives a sh*t
I knew that she was mine
Mia has always had
The greatest self esteem
She knows her family
knows this too
We're on Mia's team
I'm not quite sure
We could repay
The joy that Mia gives
But we will do the best we can
Each moment Mia lives

You are so,right! I wanted to, I wasn't sure about postage. If I bought a book of American stamps is the postage the same for every state? Then Canada post went on strike, they like to go on strike around Christmas, the devils. Hopefully next year I will stop making excuses as I would really enjoy participating, the giving and receiving! I'll bet you all enjoyed it so much!
I was just wondering if other folks would like to write some poems about their cats or pets. On the appropriate thread of course. I would love to read them, that's for sure. I would also like to know if any long term cat lovers ( peeps over 50) would ever get a kitten again. Talk about a pain in the arse. Lily is 2 and a bit now, and is a juvenile delinquent. Talk about 'tude. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat, my husband says. Me too but.......what a tornado, cats a maniac. She's part Bengal, might explain a bit. I think next time we will adopt a cat who's at least one or two.

Here is a happy news story about people and their dogs making visits to senior centers. I believe this makes an impact on people. Kids, senior citizens, people experiencing stressful situations, and more. In a previous job we had a therapy dog and her owner visit every other week, and they would sometimes use an elevator near our office to get to another part of the building. That was such a treat, just to have a few minutes in a busy day to love on a beautiful and very well behaved doggie.

I just had to share this, it's just SO freaking weird to me. So, these people wrote an article or something like that, and referred to this sea otter as chubby. So this adorable sea otter is really fat. No bloody way 'round it. I saw a pic of the cute little darling and I instantly assumed it was pregnant with at least six babies. I'm talking huge belly here peeps. Now, there are letters of apology written for " fat shaming " the bloody sea otter. Like ....really. Do you think the sea otter was offended, do you think it gives one measly s*it. It's been in captivity and is overfed. Simple as that. Cute little bugger doesn't need a written apology, just needs to be fed less or maybe he's just a fat dude. I don't know why this irritates me so much but an apology for calling a otter fat, when he is clearly very fat, is merely an observation and a fact. I have never seen a fat otter before, well now I have. There is just so much time in the day, I realize that. But some things are just so assanine it gets me sad. 🙄

I heard on news radio that the AKC is recognizing a new breed, a dog from Africa- Azawo? (sp- I probably got it wrong) The reporter described the dog as having a short coat and long legs. They served as guardians to nomadic people of that part of Africa. They are good at running and also very smart. I thought they sound a little like greyhounds from what the reporter said. Only six weeks or so till the Westminster dog show!
You are quite right cassiesmom, pretty exciting eh! This is the 193rd breed accepted, it is a very beautiful, slender hound with a short coat, very strong. It will not be allowed to compete until 2020, however. I believe it is spelled Azawakh, such a beautiful dog!
Oh ya, they do look a lot like greyhounds only bigger, more muscular.
Hey Peeps, what's up? Just thinkin' someone's gotta perk things up a bit around here. Guess I better go first eh. Well then...I'm pretty sure that I'll get in poo poo ca- ca for anything I say that may be inappropriate but I don't care. At least it won't be so bloody boring. Is everyone out there half assed dead. Weather... really. Did we not all experience weather, discuss, hear about weather enough? REALLY People?? So... we either talk about pets or weather. Today here in Surrey British Columbia, it was rather mild. There were a few clouds. We all thought that perhaps we might see a rainbow, I am quite certain that some people did, however, we did not. Pretty sure you get it. NOW, music, recipes, positive interactions, questions we might ask one another. But.... let me see now... pets .....weather that's it. Oh ya, start a thread.
My cats don't get along. I am rather jealous of peeps who have cats that get along. My cats detest one another. There is no other way to put it. I used to have 5 cats that all got along. They loved, groomed and were very sweet to one another. Now I have two cats that can barely tolerate one another. That's not gonna change and I don't care anymore. They can deal with it. When they croak we will get two male siblings, adopt them together and life will be absolutely perfect. PERFECT!!! EXCELLENT I say

Do they have separate parts of the house they pretty much keep to?
You should post this in Cats General. You'll get a lot of responses and ideas!
Reallly okay. SO funny 👍🏿
I'll post wherever I want to post. The answer is our cats own us. They live and be on all 3 floors. Okay 2, they're not allowed downstairs. They have three cat towers, in three separate rooms. One huge bitch downstairs and two big ones upstairs in two separate bedrooms.2 litter boxes. The problem is that the younger cat is an elder abuser and a glutton. She eats her food as fast as she can and even if she is not done, she will run over and eat Mia's food. Now she is getting SO fat. Mia just does her best to avoid Lily. I try to feed them separately. Lily can hear a food bowl, Temptation bag open, I am pretty sure she can hear me hand feed Mia a piece of cheese when she's in a dead sleep. She is also violent to Mia and terrorizes her, chases her up and down 3flights of stairs and attempts to kick the shit out of her. We first got Lily for Mia. She seemed lonely and sad. I wanted to take Lily back because she was so mean and abusive to Mia. Husband said no. No way, I love Lily, well....I do too but they can't get along. It's exhausting and I guess I will try locking them in separate rooms. But they both like to sleep in our bedroom. Headache. I can't believe that Lily is so evil. We got her as a tiny kitten, she's never been hungry, thirsty or abused. Healthy as an on. Mia was adopted at around 3 or 4. born with one paw missing, she barely skips a beat or limps. I will make it work but why do they treat each other so shabbily man.
I meant, healthy as an OX.
This evening we wer graced with what I heard they be calling a super wolf blood moon. Call it, name it what you will. It was exquisite. Not huge on astronomy and if I was, I am quite sure it would not be more or less wonerful or outstanding. I hope I will never forget this. Early onset of Alzheimer's. I had viral encephalitis when I was in my early 20's. Apparently my brain could up and go for a shitter any time now 🙄 Imagine that, if I believed that crap I would have given up years ago. SO funny.
Sorry peeps, one more thing. So, for some reason this night, I was standing on the balcony all by my self. I saw a weird blue light flash in the woods. My idea, was to grab whatever and throw it at the blue light. In my defence I figured no animal hangs in the bush with a blue light right. SO I grab two onions, first thing handy besides taters and they are pretty crazy onions as I could not find the mild sweet onions we normally desire. Point is... I threw these 2 onions as hard and fast as I could into the bush to see or hear if anything moved. Nothing did. Two of my ring however, flew off my fingers. Very sentimental, one a gold wedding ring, the other a copper ring of my grandfathers who has passed. I strapped on my head flashlight to go look for them in the pics
.
Pitch, black dark of night. I armed myself with 2 more onions and a pairing knife. I couldn't find them. I gave it a shot, will look again tommorrow. I don't really care, does that make me a shitty person. I just don't feel like explaining this if someone notices. But.. she . that's kinda weird eh? Never mind

Weird about the blue light! Too bad about the rings.. hope you find them.
There were predictions for the super wolf blood moon to show about midnight here last night. I would have liked to see it, but the time was too late and it was too cold outside for me.
Ya, I know right, weird blue light. Guess I could buy a metal detector. I could probably sell it on Craig's list afterwards. There might be some photos of last nights moon on the internet if your interested. It was so clear and turned so many different colours.

Hope you find the rings - is there snow on the ground where you are?
Okay so I searched for the ring in broad daylight. If my arm is as good as I think it is and they flew into the forest, there is so much underbrush it will remain there for eternity perhaps. I think it was so cold out last night whilst I was watching the blood moon, my fingers shrunk from the cold. What I did discover however is, it is impossible to search for something and let it go at the same time. I figure one ring was gold, the other copper, went back to the earth from whence it came. I shall now get on with it and get used to it. I think it's been over 30 yrs. I've worn them, habit really. Might take a minute. I'll quit carrying on, thanks and forgive me.
Hope you find the rings - is there snow on the ground where you are?
Hi, no snow. It's very sunny and beautiful❤️
I just saw a baby squirrel in the huge tree. There's been a nest there for a long time so I assumed it was an abandoned birds nest. Maybe it is. Maybe the sguirrels are squatters. Maybe squirrels build nests....All I know is, that I have been feeding three black squirrels for a couple years now. Peanuts in the shell. Seems to make them very happy if the crows don't swoop down and get them first. I just assumed most animals would have their babes in the spring, more gentle climate. Sorta the dead of winter now, maybe the squirrels didn't read the "when to have offspring"manual. Anyway, the babe is brown. I wonder if they are all born brown for camouflage and then turn black as they mature. That would make sense as how could black squirrels produce a brown baby. 😂🤣 Okay, I know what your thinking, maybe she had an affair in the tree a few yards away. You just never know what them squirrels could get up too. Maybe I should just mind my own business 😁 I imagine I could google for info but you never know, maybe one of you out there knows far more about squirrel protocol and behaviour than I.

The smaller squirrels usually are either black or red - so maybe baby is red squirrel that has not gotten its brighter coloring yet? And there must be abundant-enough food, that is what usually drives pregnancy in squirrels!
Oh, thanks Karen! Ya that is interesting. Unfortunately, I believe the poor babe doesn't have a hope in hell. There's about 9 crows scoping out the nest, poor thing will be an Hourderve soon. Hate to be pessimistic but... there's a reason they call them a murder of crows. They're not very sentimental when it comes to lunch. There are hundreds of crows around here, I'm not eggagerating. Very clever birds, these ones are mostly carnivores from what I've observed. They enjoy peanuts too 😜

I am getting really dry skin. I always do in the winter. I have been using olive oil, I am thinking it's the healthiest. Not into perfumed skin cream so much, anyone have any suggestions?? Problem is, my hands need to be washed so many times a day and olive oil doesn't dry so... it takes a while to sink in. Between cooking, cleaning, cat petting, litter maintenance, general rules of hygiene OMG! How could ones skin not dry out. I hate rubber gloves, eewww! I know.. hire a maid right. 👻

If you have a Dollar Store near you pick up a bottle of Dermasil lotion if the oliv oil isnt quite enough. im not fond of the scent(has faint plasticy smell if that makes sense) but once its rubbed in the smell is totally gone anyway an it works for me in taming my dry skin.
Just have to tell you some great news before I stop believing it myself! Woke up this a.m. and Lily and Mia were 4" apart at the end of my bed. Decided not to move after I cracked open me eye, just to observe. Usually it turns out nasty, okay....always. Lily started licking Mia's coat..... Mia actually stood up, looked at Lily to see if she was hallucinating I presume. Well, apparently she figured it was okay with her, layed back down and Lily groomed her coat for a couple more seconds.........OMG!!! If you knew these two, well.... it is freaking EPIC. Then I went downstairs to make tea and discovered it was snowing. I think it just may stick as its really coming down. All I can think is that hell has truly frozen over 😻👍🏿😄

Ha ha! People certainly seem to love balls 😜 So many sports, SO many balls. Just noticed the hummingbird nectar froze again. I bring it in at night and put it out early in the A.M. So... I bring it in the house , put it in a bowl of hot water 3 or 4 times and voila, problem solved. Usually doesn't freeze during the day, cold snap. The thing is, these wee birds are very aggressive and dive at my head whilst I remove it, thaw it out and put it back. Takes about 10 mins. I knew there was a reason I do this at night 😂 Talk about biting the hand that feeds ya!!! They are just SO very cute but just as mean as the dickens??? can I just say one thing about the State of the Union address? I didn't agree with everything the president said. But as I get older, every year I'm impressed that all the branches of the U.S. government are represented in that one place, at that time. Some of them show that they agree, some don't, and it's back to work the next day. I haven't been to Washington D.C. in many years- I'd like to go again and see the new monuments. I'd also like to go up to Ottawa, Ontario and see the Canadian capital city. Some day.
I believe you should say whatever you like about the State of the Union address. I have no comment. I do however know that I have whined before about people talking about the weather. Color me bad, THERE IS SO MUCH SNOW!!!! Crikey!! . No end in sight. Guess we'll get used to shovelling, sweeping and freezin' our arses off. I think that there's a vicious rumour that Canadians live in igloos and are happy as clams, embracing the snow and wind. That's not true. know the most annoying thing though? the bus getting stuck coming home >< man that always ticked me off. why couldnt it get stuck going to school LOL
Not really sure I get that. So, you get stuck on the bus on the way to school. Then what, you are stuck on the freakin bus with peeps who may, or may not be in your grade, your class our you have never spoken too before. On the way home, at least that bullshit is over. Never took a school bus in my life. My parents either drove me or I walked.... or did not attend. I'm not proud of it but I spent a lot of time in th office 😳 I always thought our public school system was extremely crappy and I was fairly hesitant to attent. That, and the fact that I was always called to the office on the P.A. System sort of discouraged me. I skipped out 2 out of days.
Oops, 2 out of 5 days a week. That is why I so smart

So sorry your public school experience was so poor - I loved school when I was learning, when I got bored I would draw or do something else. I am awful at taking notes, but am okay with that. Upper grades were more fun as there were challenging things to learn. Didn't like all my teachers, but learning I did like. And the college I attended didn't require much note taking, so it was all good!
I did love snow days, though! Stay home, bake cookies, play Monopoly or read and shovel!
You really do have the best attitude Karen. That's the spirit, I truly admire that. Actually, grade 5 wasn't too bad, 8 and 9... pure hell 😳👹💩

I am at work! 🙄😬 I didn't even make his lunch because I thought he had the day off and he doesn't need any fast food. I'm on a real roll here 🦃 Ya, not the end of the world but jeeeeeez 😐 🙈 💩

Well, now Monday will feel like a bonus day with him! :)
That's very true Karen, good old Monday. If I can provide even the vaguest whisper of entertainment from my many fau paux's, I am more than happy to provide them....especially since there appears to be no end of them in sight. sigh 🙈

Well considering i live quite far from town it seemed the crap had just hit the fan if the bus got stuck on the way home as coming home there was way more route that the bus had to cover. least going to school all that route was already done before picking me up an a stuck bus going to school equaled skipped classes instead of having all the them. was win win LOL
my parents had work early in the morning so i never got the chance to have them take me to school. sometimes theyed pick me after school though if they were in town already for whatever reason/s.
i always did my homework on the bus to pass the time. but really whether going to/from school or on the train or on a plain theres always those of every age we dont know an most likely never will

LOL I hated Public school. I liked Senior Year, but that was about it. :p College was great, IMO. It was definitely the right amount of challenge and held my interest because I was studying what I wanted. However, it was definitely great to graduate and realize I NEVER had to do it ever again. College was stressful for me, and I guess real life can be, but I like having more free time! :)
I have a random thought, has anyone heard the song by Dead South, Good Company? I figure it's well worth a listen. Easy to Google, you need to sort of watch the video whilst you listen I'm thinking.
What does the rainbow bridge mean? Do people actually think that our pets die and are jettisoned to some magical bridge with a rainbow constantly hovering over it? Is it a bridge formed out of a rainbow? Then what happens? So.... they're dead, go to the rainbow bridge and then what? They are like, in heaven, living in eternal bliss..... is that what you all mean. Does it have something to do with the song "somewhere over the rainbow! I am sincerely curious, otherwise I would not inquire. Please correct me if I am mistaken. Sounds like a very interesting take, that's for sure. I have never had a clue as to what the hell this means. Merely guesses.

The often shared story, based on an old Norse Legend:
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I hated it as well. especially since some of the teachers here were questionable. my 4th grade teacher said "Texas is the biggest state." while this is true if youre looking at a map it is indeed the biggest drawn state but its over all not the biggest state. an my science teacher pointed to a tree the class was standing under an asked "what kind of tree is that?" it was very clear to me that it was a Nordmann Fir but she said "it is a cedar tree" ... *smh*
just seen the rainbow bridge image. its really pretty :)

On a completely different note- Chicagoland has a forecast for more snow tomorrow, possible freezing rain in the afternoon. I know December was mild, but I’m ready for nicer weather. We did a huge snowstorm, we did a few days of very cold temperatures. Hurry up, spring!

I love to get into the car and turn on the heater until it gets HOT inside the car.
A few weeks ago it was sooooo cold outdoors the car never heated up.
Puhleeeeeese 😫😪😥😢snap out of it peeeps!! We'll be whining about the heat soon enough.
It's been snowing off and on here for weeks. The sweeping, the shovelling, driving, the trying to keep the hummingbird feeder fresh and unthawed. The freezing our asses off. Really a boring subject and a given if you live wherever ....it is bound to occur. That is all anyone talks about around here. Not Pet Talk peeps, but everyone I know. I'm going to hibernate. F*ck the weather 👻💀☠️
Here's a random thought. My favorite cousin has prostate cancer, his name is Trent. They are going to remove his prostate, the entire shebang, this bloody Tues. He is only 50, a very handsome, loving , kind person. I have a huge, loving family. Trent is everyone's favorite. He is a Pitt bull lover and has one now named Harley. He has had many Pitt bulls, and now Harley, she's SO lovely. He has a beautiful, loving wife. She has a deadly black cat, Luna. They spoon. We are all pretty much scared shitless. We all bought SO much food to put in their freezer. M&M stuff, homemade blah blah blah. Our family feeds peeps, it's what we do. So, weird eh? Anyway, they have a big freezer. I know they don't need this, wasn't our idea, but can't hurt. The question is, how do YOU deal with fear? Hey, nothing anyone could say could possibly freak me out anymore than I already am.

02-24-2019, 12:04 PM
First, I want to say how very sorry I am for the diagnosis. I'm glad that you have a large family to deal with this. The more support, the better. And a fully stocked freezer is a great help.
There is no way that a cancer diagnosis doesn't cause fear. To me, fear makes me more cautious, even though in the early stages, one might act irrationally. Eventually I become calm enough to think everything through and to deal with it. Recently, I had to make some huge, life-altering decisions. It was scary at first, but I'm well on my way now.

Dear mon, I'm so sorry to learn about Trent and his diagnosis. We are sending lots of warm, loving thoughts and prayers and healing energies that the surgery goes well with promising results and Trent recovers comfortably. That is great that he has this huge, loving family, including Harley and Luna, AND you, mon, to be with him through it all. And how handy to have a nice, full freezer!
How do I deal with fear? I don't think I have a tried and true method. I'm afraid. I try and give myself time and space to figure how best to deal with whatever I'm facing.

Thank you phesina and cats4ever. What you shared means so much. Thanks again. I'm a wreck inside emotionally but... only when I think about it. I hope when they get in there, they find it hasn't spread. The thought is unbearable. So unbearable.
Me again, my Aunty just e mailed me about Trent. He goes in at 6 a.m tommorrow and the surgery will happen, it is suppose to take 4 and 1/2 hrs. He is scheduled to stay at least 4 days. Oh my God. Sounds a lot worse by the minute really, doesn't it. Sh*t! Glad my husbands asleep, I can't stop crying. I think I need a tranquilizer 😜🙃 Anyway, it's 10:30 here and since I have no sedatives, i whippped out the breadmaker and am attempting to bake a loaf. Simple, really. Just follow the recipe and voila. I am an excellent baker but Shawn always does this. All two times I have tried this 🙄😱 Epic fail. Not sure why, I think he throws an egg in it, his secret trick 😎 SO... this time that's just what I did. Hope it works, if not it will still smell good and kept me busy for a bit. The house is so clean, like sooooo clean. Guess I'll read, thanks for hearing me out. Gotta go cry some more. Thanks again ❤️
Hey there, my cousin Trent got out of surgery and is recovering a very good hospital ( I think, Hope 🤞🏾) We will know more soon. If all goes accordingly, he should be kicked out on Thursday. I should be getting an update soon, I feel so much better now that it's over. I told him a couple days ago, I said " Trent, honey if I could do this for you, I'd do it in a heartbeat" . He said, " I would SO totally let you cuz". Then he said, don't worry, my Surgeon is so great, I have a video of him operating. It was a video of a really shaky hand playing the game Operation and doing a very piss poor job 😍💕🤧

Trent can go home today, his kidneys are at 80% and they figure he's good to go. Not sure why his kidneys got messed up when they removed his prostate but I'm no Dr. and I guess everything's connected?? Hey, just want to thank you for the support, it really means a lot. Trent is home and they just sent me a pic on the I pad. Looks snug as a bug in a rug! Actually, I think he looks a bit too happy (he's on some pretty good meds I presume 😜) a very good thing indeed. He looks really good, Harley and Luna haven't left his side since he came home ❤️💞💕 Thanks again freinds, I was so scared. The results of the biopsy will be in in 2 weeks. Sounds like an eternity to me, they will be able to tell if it's spread from the biopsy, or so I have been led to believe. I feel like I have been through the wringer, imagine how he must feel eh. Didn't realize I was such a bloody lightweight.
Hi, me again. Still waiting on Trents results. They took off his catheter and he can pee all by his lonesome! I did not realize that he wouldn't know if he was incontinent until his catheter was removed. I didn't even know it was a possibility. Anyway, great news! Just a waiting game now. Apparently the cancer was on the wall of his prostate, they were hoping it was contained within the prostate...which they removed. No clue what that means....did it climb the wall, go through the wall, tunnel beneath the wall?? Get where I'm going I presume. I don't pretend to understand sh*t, really good thing I'm no doctor. Anyway, scary. We have had so much snow lately, neibors new puppy is waaaay too cute. Such a a sweetheart, might try and talk them into nominating him as DOTD. It just might rain and wash away the snow, or it just may snow some more.... ahh weather. SO unpredictable! Getting started on buying loot for couple of Easter baskets, like to start early as most of the items I use are not food items but fun stuff. The bunny we know doesn't like to fill the kids with too many sweets and unhealthy treats. Yo yo's, chop sticks, craft materials for the artistic one, felts, crayons, fancy straws, stickers yada yada. That said, receiving chocolate bunnies never gets old for most peeps, especially the good ones. Most everyone likes themselves some great chocolate, right 😻 I can't remember when Easter is 😻

I can't remember when Easter is
It is relatively late this year - April 21st! We always each got a stuffed animal in our basket, more than candy. I always got a bunny, my big sister got an elephant, my big brother it varied - a bear or a rhino, and my younger brother, Lady's Human, always got a bird of some sort.

Thank you SO very much!! Apparently it does snow here now, huge flakes are falling down as we speak. Very pretty, could turn into rain any second though, seems very warm to me. Although the snow is sticking, at least a good inch an a half. I am so troubled about Trent, I cannot imagine how worried his wife Michelle is. Sincerely, I cannot imagine. They are the most beautiful people. Everyone is being outstandingly brave, open and supportive. If they are anything like me....deep down inside, they are all worried sick and caving Eeeek! Well then, we are all doing our level bloody best and who could ask for more. Time will tell. Thanks so much for caring and every kind thought and wish times a thousand, sincerely. As I grow older, I find that sharing my fears helps a lot. I used to keep all of my fears to myself and it made me physically ill. I am of no use to myself or my loved ones when I can't even take care of myself, am I now? Well, that's what I learned. If you present worries to kind people, in the proper manner.... a little kindness, concern and wisdom can go very far. Suffering in silence is SO overrated eh. Harley and Luna are taking excellent care of dear Trent, so cute. Have insomnia again but that never killed anyone, right. Good, bad or indifferent, I will let you know what happens. Thanks again❤️
What's going on, no random thoughts anyone?? Someone must have one measly random bloody thought! Okay, I'll start. Well, I see Spring is springing, snow's almost gone, Lord knows, might start up again. I spy miniscule green shoots and Shawn is beginning to become obsessed with the lawn again. I say obsessed because he is not merely interested in the back lawn (very small) it has been an extremely strange and ridiculous obsession with him for a few years now. I think it's the smaller yard since we moved and lack of a vegetable garden. He has a magical green thumb but... grass... not so much. All the different seeds he's tried, the grown grass squares he's transplanted from the nursery. We aren't even allowed to walk on it. It's absolutely ridiculous. It never works out to his liking, no matter what. I leave it alone, one must allow another to be freaky in one area or another, I figure. Me, I'm perfect. 🙄😂🤣. Well, clearly that's a lie. I like to think that I conceal my weirdness a tad better but honestly... probably don't. Please cough up some random thoughts peeps! ❤️💕
Hey there, my Cuz Trent just voxed. He says that he is feeling a lot better than he thought he would, just 3 wks. out of surgery. He is walking Harley every morning, playing video games and watching the telly. He says he is nor overdoing it and that his Dr. sez he can go back to work maybe April 22. That sounds pretty specific so maybe he needs or wants to go back. Anyway, I am relieved and so happy to hear that! It's still scary and weird, no biopsy info. I have no heart or desire to pepper him with assanine questions. I am confident that all will be revealed soon enough and just the fact that he is happy today... means everything to me. 💞🤜🏻🤛👍🏿

What is the meaning of the word vox or voxed?
I don't have a cell phone or a smart phone.
vox means voice
Vox Populi - the Voice of the People, for example.
My mother in law is coming out again. The last time she was here, just before she left she announced, "next time I come, I'll be staying for a month". Apparently, she's decided to invite herself for two weeks instead. My husband has told her at least a dozen times, maybe two dozen, I'm not eggagerating, "you are welcome to stay, only for a week" She doesn't care if she is welcome or not, she's nuts. She doesn't have dementia, she just simply could care less how we feel. I give up. She has cataracts, they are going to do some more tests while she's here on her eyes. I have told her, we will get everything she needs, just give us a list. Oh no. She wants to drive. She wants to drive all around Surrey and Langley in our truck when she gets here. Hit every dollar store and Payless and Walmart. She says that all she needs is sunglasses.......... I give up. Guess we'll just hand her the keys and let her drive around in our truck. I don't drive, I sure as hell don't need to shop every day either. She does, it just blows my mind. I can't believe it. I tried my level best, talking common sense to her and her son. What if she runs someone over, what the hell...... I need to calm down. Hopefully her flight will be cancelled or her plane will go down,en route. She is the the worst person and a TERRIBLE guest. What the hell!!!
P.s. I know this sounds ridiculous but I am open to any suggestions. Monster in law drinks like a fish too. I hope she doesn't imbibe in tha a.m. I know she drinks plenty of wine after 3 p.m. and has a few screwdrivers before bedtime. We only keep beer in the house, Shawn has had 3 drinks in the 30 years I've known him, I like beer but he simply doesn't drink, ergo, no liquor cabinate for her to partake. Mum brings her own booze and squirrels it away in her room, except for the litres of red wine she bring upstairs and spills all over the granite counters. She doesn't drink beer. Anyway, if she goes to sleep drunk, gets up early and drives...she's probably still impaired right? I don't know, I don't possess a breathalyzer and even if I did I'm pretty sure the old chick wouldn't blow. I sure as hell am not getting up as early as she does to keep an eye on her silly ass anyways. This broad clearly drives me berserk. Oh my goodness. I hate coping with this crap. Thanks for listening. It is a clusterf*ck. There is clearly no solution that I can see.

Good grief, what a nightmare!
Thanks, I know. I don't think there's much to do or say. I'm pretty sure it is just something to endure. I will continue to try and look at it from a positive angle. I have no idea what that angle might be however, but there has to be one....right? Okay, maybe not. It's a nightmare for sure. Maybe I could go stay in a monestary, say I have become a tad unhinged and need to reflect on my spiritual well being......oh never mind. Shawns not gonna buy that. It's gonna be hell for sure. I remember about 18 yrs. ago when she came out, I got so stressed out I had to go to emergency. At the time, I thought I was having a heart attack. They kept me there for 4 days, I was on intravenous dilaudid and did a lot of tests. That was the best break EVER!They never really figured out what was wrong with me. As I look back, I think it was stress. The break from her worked miracles for sure. That will never happen again, I can manage stress now. I have my big girl panties now and far more knowledge, experience and maturity. I'll just smile a lot, agree a lot and pretend my hearing is shot. I can simply ask her to vaccume or dust and she'll bolt like her hairs on fire. I also know that she hates it when I sing, if she gets too weird I'll just burst into song. There's a couple options, feeling better already.
Just one more thing if you can bear with me. When I say she bolts, I don't mean she physically leaves, she goes to her bedroom, in our home. She proceeds to watch television, talk to her imaginary freinds on the computer, who no longer allow her to visit as she has overstayed her welcome everywhere and burned all her bridges, every single one. She'll then play games on her I pad and drink as much as she can tolerate intlil she gets hungry. Then she'll come back upstairs, sit in my chair and ask what's for dinner. This just might be her last visit if she doesn't behave. Too outrageous for me anymore. I'll just have to tell her she is not welcome anymore and why. I'll do that if I have too, no one needs that crap. Sorry, freaking out, thanks again for listening.

Check out a few pages of Al-Anon for support.
Thanks, might refresh my memory for sure. My Grandma was in chairwoman in Alanon for years, she has passed so I can break her anonymity, and I attended meetings with her when I was a kid, I was in Alateen and attended a few meetings of Adult children of Alcoholics, you wanna meet some damaged peeps.... Adult Chidren of Acoholics...that'd be the place to find 'em. OMG! No offence to members, just a fact. I grew up in A.A. as my Mum was a member and always dragged me to meetings when she couldn't find a babysitter. I have a lot of family members and freinds in A.A. Narcotics Anonymous, Naranon, Gamblers Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous. The principles and 12 steps and traditions are the same in all of them, very helpful. Thanks again. Mum in law is in her 70's, don't imagine she'll ever change but I sure as hell can.❤️
P.s. I really want to warn any Pet Talk peeps, their family and freinds, while there are some very good and sincere peeps at these self help, 12 step groups.... there are also vultures. There are peeps who feed off vulnerable people and try to take advantage of their vulnerability. There are people who only attend these meetings for that purpose, the only reason they are there is because they are bottom feeders, so don't give out your phone number or address to anyone, male or female. Only good, sane advice.❤️👍🏿💕

And detach with love.
And not stopping the drinker from experiencing the consequence of their actions.
That's one way to look at it. I respect that. I wouldn't take responsibility for another's actions ever anyway, I pay the consequences for my own actions and fully expect others to do the same. Oh it's been fun for sure 😉🙉 I'm only capable of detaching with love, a lot of physical distance and a measure of disgust. I'm not one to set the bar so low, having a relationship with someone who only thinks of themselves. I expect more out of life, myself and choosing to be around people who are incapable of loving themselves, let alone me... why do that? No thanks. The long suffering martyrdom, telling yourself you'll get good Karma or Browny points in heaven or some other such horseshit sounds retarded to me. To each his own. Dr. Uncle Phil always says, " when someone tells you who they are, believe them". I for one agree. I Skyped Mum, asked her if maybe one week would be better instead of two. Can't blame a woman for trying right? Throw it against the wall....see if it sticks 👍🏿 So far, radio silence....🤞🏾

There's no brownie points for sure.
I heard a saying: "Trying to get love from an addict is like going to the hardware store for bread." Ain't gonna happen.
It is sad to see someone so alone, extreme and miserable.
I know, you are so very right. It is heartbreaking.
I just don't have anything left to give to people who are self destructive. My heart is frozen to them, won't let them in, fed up,period. To each his own, I'm tapped out and glad of it. I am going forward and would never judge anyone who is not on the same page as me. People should follow their ❤️
Boy do I feel crummy. Been in the hospital since 7a.m.yesterday. Was rushing to tell Shawn something before he left for work and rushed down the stairs, took the last two stairs as one.landed pretty hard on flagstone. I broke my arm and need surgery today, is wish they'd hurry up this really hurts!!!! It's been 24 hours 😾😹😿

Prayers and caring thoughts from me (Elyse) too!
Aww, thanks so much, Karen andd Elyse and Phesina!! So kind of you. Unfortunate events came up so I'll be here again tonight and sure hope tommorrow is the day for the surgery. Hard to believe it's taking this long eh. Well at least I can drink water now and have a wee bite. Wasn't even allowed to drink water today. I saw the surgeon, think they're short an anesthesiologist. Well best eat my cheeseburger and painkillers 😐😐
Well......still waiting. Wish the ambulance had taken me to a different hospital. One where there's not a back up and you're stuck on a waiting list where you priority status changes all the time. I know every one of you would be livid if we couldn't get our pet surgery they needed for three lousy days!!! How's that for whining, pretty good eh. They aren't giving me enough painkiller, it's bad and no food. Cannot wait till they fix me up and toss me out!

Finally got through with the surgery Yeeee-haaa! Been out for 3hrs. And no pain yet. What I relief, I was in agony. Guess they put in a metal plate and some screws. Doc said it was pretty crushed so it took about 4 hrs. Shawn was mortified, had to take a tranquilizer, he was only expecting an hr. or two. My poor husband, I should have sent him over to my cousins for company and comfort, what was I thinking?? Guess I must spend the night for observation. Don't know what to expect, they have me set up so I can just press a button and self administer morphine, but I'm not going to unless I absolutely have too. I wanna get sprung A.S.A.P Thanks for all the support wonderful peeps!!😘🤜🏻🤛👋🏿
Gotta quit posting peeps, wish me well. My right arms broken and now my left arm is hooped as I use it for everything. This is way harder to cope with than I imagined UGH! It did feel good to know the cats both missed me, getting me some adorable pussycat affection. I will keep an eye on ya'll so carry merrily on dear Pet peeps and pets😍💕😘👋🏿 I've never felt so impotent and unproductive AND frustrated!!! 😤😡

Raining today, and more snow is disappearing - like it may actually be spring - a.k.a. Mud Season - at last! :)
I thought this looked cool - like an impressionist painting - through the car windshield ...

Thanks - here's the haiku trio I wrote to go a with the photo ...
Seen through a rainy
Windshield, the world becomes all
Impressionist views
Pallatte-knife smears of
Color thickly laid, no fine
Dry-brush detail here
Straight lines dissolve and
Muted colors merge and blend
Lyrical wet flows

I'm sitting at the car dealership waiting for my car's oil to be changed. And what do you know, they have a computer in the waiting room. ;)

We have a new family member :) My niece’s boyfriend adopted a beagle and they brought her to Easter with our family. Her name is Rosie and she is adorable! My niece’s boyfriend is a dog person. He was really cute with Rosie puppy! We kept a close eye on her and she did fine.

I brought Lady Katherine and a dozen chicks down to Boston (okay, Belmont, MA) to my former church for the children to see and pet at the Easter Egg hunt at my church - it was the highlight of the day for many!

The other day, I saw cucumber lemonade at the grocery store. I had to try it. It's not bad, even though there is no cucumber to be found on the ingredient list.
Then I thought I needed to mix a little orange juice with it, and now it tastes really weird!:D

How strange! Cucumbers may be mostly water, but they do have a taste to them ...

They do, and I love their taste. But this was artificial flavoring, they got pretty close, though.

Why is it that people get so hyped about certain topics that no discussion takes place any more? (Thinking of social media)
Immaturity, intolerance for other peoples point of view and fear of being called politically incorrect. That's my best guess.

Good question. its like theyre trying to breath life back into a dead horse
Good question. its like theyre trying to breath life back into a dead horse
What does that mean?
Why is it that people get so hyped about certain topics that no discussion takes place any more? (Thinking of social media)
Good question, it's like they're trying to breath life into a dead horse.
What the hell does that even mean? It makes absolutely NO sense at all. Why breathe, really
What does people getting so hyped about certain topics that NO discussion takes place anymore have anything even remotely to do metaphorically or otherwise with breathing life into a dead horse?.. Doesn't breathing life into a dead horse mean that the topic has been talked half assed to death, exhausted, or at least been addressed? No discussion of any kind of obviously implies it has not been discussed AT all. 😖😳 Whatever
Maybe we should all go back to discussing the fragrance of cucumbers.
