I don't know what the world is coming to when a group of players, the Eagles,
can give a man like Vick and award for courage. This makes a mockery of the award, and all of those who receive the award this year, and all that have received it in the past ,or those to receive it in the future. This is a dark day for humanity.:mad:

WTH?!?!!?!? IMO, I think the courts should have mandated him to donate portions of his salary every year to "Pit Bull" Rescues. Honestly, I know he has "served his time".... but there should always be a reminder for these kind of disgusting cowards, not just this super star. He should not be able to just "forget"... he should always have a reminder for the rest of his life for the dogs that were killed by electrocution and drowning.... he should always remember the "Pit Bull" owners that he had to put in an ackward situation across the world to defend their rights as owners when this hit the media.

This disgusts me!

How disgusting, and discouraging, is that.

I especially like this bit: "The Ed Block Courage Award recipient symbolizes professionalism, great strength and dedication. He is also a community role model."

Right, little boys and girls, you too can murder helpless animals and still get lots of money and acclaim in pro sports!

That's disgusting!!!

Living in close proximity to Phila, I had always been an Eagles fan. Past tense. I haven't watched a single game this year, nor will I ever, as long as Scumbag Vick is a member of that organization. I hear they're doing well in the standings (??), and should they make it to the Super Bowl, I'll be cheering for the other team, regardless of who it is.

The City of Brotherly Love is sending a very bad message.

I will do everything in my power to boycott anything and everthing that has to do with Michael Vick. He's a pig that cares nothing more than making lots of money. He doesn't give a rats butt whether kids look up to him as a role model.

I hope that piece of **** rots in hell.

If Vick was a real man, he might give up this award and just not accept it. However, we all know he isn't a real man and that will never happen.

This is absolutely nuts. What kind of a message is this sending?   :( :( :(

I heard something about this the other day.....to even be put in the same category as the other men who've won this award.....those who have overcome illness or injury or who've given of themselves for others....not dog killers for goodness sake.....I've never been an Eagle fan, but sheesh.......

Wow, what a surprise. I don't know what a person has to do in this world any more to be villified. Vick gets an award for courage and yet Sarah Palin gets trashed in the media and by the public every day. I'm not attempting to highjack this thread or turn this into a political discussion but merely pointing out that it seems that our morals and ethics are skewed!

This is an outrage!!!!!!!

This award rightfully belongs to:
All the servicemen and women serving in the middle east
Police officers killed in the line of duty
Firefighters who died in the line of duty
All those working to improve the quality of life in our communities
All the first responders to emergencies

Friends, I think you get my point.....

Unfortunately this award is reserved for NFL players. The voting is done by all the team members. Guess that sends a true message about the whole Eagles team.
