As it happens, I pet-sit for a tortie girl named Turtle here in Ann Arbor.. I will be visiting her again over Christmas. When I first saw the COTD picture and read the name, I wondered if "my" Turtle's purrents had submitted her picture. But then I read on and learned that today's celebrated Turtle is a flying Texan, neither of which mine is.
