I was introduced to Great Danes when I oriented with a co-worker who worked from home. Max was her extremely handsome, affectionate and smart "assistant". She tried to teach him not to make noise when she was on the phone but to no avail -- everyone she regularly spoke with, asked about him! He is a big snuggly-bug too!

Hi to Mum of Hemi - To save your phones and furniture etc - get Hemi some raw beef bones to chew on - it will keep him occupied for hours and will exercise/clean his gums and teeth at the same time!

I know because I've got a big Lab 'Dolly' and she is a chewing machine and this saved our house! Keeps them busy especially when you are out at work etc!
