Nevada, Lilycat's boy, special PT prayers needed

Nevada, aka Nevvie, is undergoing surgery this morning for a firbrosarcoma on his shoulder blade area. (Most likely vaccine induced). Nevvie had the surgery, and 4 weeks of radiation, in July/August. At his check up Monday, it was determined that the cancer had returned. :( This is so disheartening, after such a radical course of treatment so recently.

This time, Nevvie will have the tumors removed, and then a course of chemotherapy. He will most likely stay in the hospital until Thursday morning. This situation is dire.

Please send PT prayers up for Nevvie and Lilycat. Thank you.

Oh my, that doesn't sound good. Well, PT prayers are mighty so I'll be the first to get the ball rolling. Thursday is Thanksgiving day so the Fur Posse and I just know that Nevvie's humans will have much for which to be thankful. Keep the faythe. :love:

There is a drug called Regressin to be given after surgery. Just a thought.

I'm so sorry to hear this, it is disheartening indeed. :( Fister and I will keep our paws and fingers crossed that the vet will be able to remove the firbrosarcoma and Nevvie will be as good as new after.

Nevvie is out of surgery. The tiny tumors seemed more significant to the surgeon than the one larger one Lilycat was especially worried about. The surgeon said this type of cancer is just so aggressive, and doesn't read/follow any textbook examples of disease. I guess cancer doesn't play by any rules.

I wonder if Nevvie would take Transfer Factor? It kept illustr8tr's Haggis alive and well after cancer surgery...the vets gave him about two months.

It's a year on and the last test showed no sign of the cancer. Sadly, Haggis's healthy brother Hamish passed on a short time ago.
