I just lost ten years off my life.

---------------------------

I dawdle in all kinds of things. I have made some tables for the porch, a cat house, a throne and other little projects around the house.

The 'throne' is a giant chair I built to use when I sit in the sun.

The arms are wide and I always can find a kitteh asleep on them.
Next to that chair is a lounger where I sit when I feed the outdoor clan. this is where I take them in. They all gather around and we chat, I do a little scritching, loving and give them visual once over.

All is fine except for today, I washed their food bowls, so I took the top of the plastic food bin, put food on it and carried it out doors.

We all did our daily routine, I serve, they eat and I make myself available for some mano a mano/touch time.

I went in and forgot to bring the top to the bin in.

I was doing my rounds to make sure that the afternoon wind hadn't wrecked havoc on the yard and went over to get the top whih had fallen in between the lounger and the 'throne'. When I bent over to pick it up a large cardboard beer box next to the chair began to vibrate, then began to shake until a little black kitteh explodes from the hole torn in the top.

I was so stunned that I had no time to jump, freak out or use a curse word from my limitied vocabulary.

I only got as far as, "WHAT the........."

This poor dude was well hidden and 'cat-moflauged' to boot.

I felt badly because I didn't want to scare him out of his hidey/sleeping hole.

But, he did startle me enough for me to lose a few years off of my ticker.

I have made a few little boxes for the kittehs and stuffed the bottom of the Hotel Cat-lifornia with the stuffing from a pillow that fell apart when I washed it-but they still seem to prefer the cheaper arrangements.

NO problem, for them! Me? Maybe tomorrow I will find those 10 years someplace on the porch!

Maybe YOU're the one who should wear the BELL around his neck!

Give the Poor Kids a lil warning when you're stompin around.

I love how you tell your stories of every day simple life.

Hay, if you find those 10 years and don't need them, you can send them my way!

As the mom of two furballs, I can always use the extra lives! Maybe Richard can divide them up between us. After all, Christmas is coming!:D
