I guess we are all learning that things "Made in China" may be cheaper initially, but not in the long run. Pet foods, drywall, lots of issues. They don't have quality control, apparently!

Big article in today's newspaper. China made drywall (gypsum board) is giving off noxious odors and corroding pipes. Home owners' insurance policies are not covering this, and the insurance companies are not renewing policies on these homes. Tens of thousands of homes built between 2004 and 2008 contain this, with most of them in the Southeast.

Seems like another case of "you get what you pay for". Those poor people. The builders purchased the sheetrock because there was a shortage here; now the homeowners are left holding the bag.

I have always wondered...don't people realize WHY things are so cheap from China?

I worry about the quality and the treatment of the workers.

And...I blame Walmart for the whole thing (I blame lots of things on Walmart though....:D)
