My sister first got Muffy when he was 3 weeks old, back in June of 1985. It's unfortunate that his mama was hit and killed by a car. He didn't quite take to other people, but boy he loved my sister. Always slept with her on her pillow. He turned 24 years old this past June and despite his age, still loved to go outside and sit in the sunshine. This past week though she could see his health was really declining and by Thursday night he was having problems going to the bathroom. Friday morning they brought him to the vets and he said that Muffy's kidneys were failing and his system was starting to shut down. So it was with a very heavy heart, they had him peacefully PTS.
Please say a prayer for my sister as she has had enough heartache this year from having to put her beloved Blackie to sleep this past summer due to cancer, then her beloved little dog Sonja just months ago from Cushings Disease and now her precious Muffy.
Here is the only picture of have of him when he was 21 years old.
He is waiting in the sink for someone to turn the water on.

Muffy, I am so sorry to hear you had to go- but what a life you had.
You were a very handsome man and at 21 looked no day older than 12.
Godspeed Muffy.

Muffy, after 24 years on this earth, the stories you could tell, if you could talk. You were a handsome boy, indeed, and you deserve a good rest at the Bridge, then live to your heart's content. Don't forget to check in w/your mum; she needs to know that all is well w/you. RIP, Muffy and peace to your loved ones.

My prayers and hugs to your sister - so many beloved furbabies lost in so short a time.:(
I love that pic of Muffy - what a handsome solid gray boy! It's wonderful that he lived to 24 - but it never is long enough for the people that love them.
I read this the other day, and want to quote it here:
"Sometimes God takes our loved ones home to heal."

Be healthy and happy at the Bridge, Muffy. You were very very loved.

My gosh, 24 years! Muffy, what a wonderful long life you have lived, and with your oh-so-loving and so-beloved Meowmie for almost all of it.
May you and your fur-friends Blackie and Sonja rest in peace and play happily together at the Bridge as you wait for her to join you, one fine day. You are all greatly missed and greatly loved.
My very deepest sympathy to you, Lorraine, and your sister, and all who love and miss these dearest fur-babies.

And this morning at the Rainbow Bridge Blackie and Sonja were there when Muffy received His Wings of Silver and Gold and then they all had the Awesome Angel Army introduction party at the Lighthouse Inn!
Then tonight theres an Awesome Angel Golf Tournament at the Geoffrey Cornish Course and a Camp Out on Mount Snow.
All three Awesome Angels will be Guests of Honor, and thier Friendship and Love will start anew.
And they will tour the Worls looking for that one place where they can rendezvous with Your Sister and Friends who gave them so much love and friendship.
One Fine Day.

My deepest sympathy to your sister. After 24 years with Muffy sleeping on her pillow, it'll be awfully hard for her to adjust.
RIP, handsome Muffy. You lived a remarkable life.

Dear Muffy, what a grand old age you reached, and what a great life you must have lived. Our family cat Doris is 19 and will be 20 next April.
How you lived your life and loved your mum so much will shine forever.
God Speed Sweet Muffy

I'm so sorry to hear this.:( He sure was a very handsome boy. I can only hope to have my own cats for 24 years. That's amazing.:) I'm sure that your sister must be feeling devastated right now but I hope that in time she'll feel better enough to maybe adopt another cat or dog.
