I was all geared up to write to the CEO of Nike, telling them I would be boycotting their products should they hire Michael Vick as a spokesperson. I mean, what kind of message does that send to kids that it is okay to torch an innocent animal and get away with it. Michael Vick is, unfortunately, a role model to some kids. I was infuriated!!!

Come to find out, there has been so much bad publicity about this entire situation that they dropped Vick. That's the power of the media!!!

I don't see how anyone would touch him with a 10 foot pole! WHAT were they thinking to ever sign him up?!

The story I heard was that someone from the MV camp said that he had signed a contract, then Nike came out and said that it was only supplying him equipment, as the do with other players in the league, who do not have 'contracts' with the company.....

A Nike spokesperson released a statement that they had not signed.

For a while I stopped noticing where my clothes/shoes are made.
