At the end of each day I try to sit and relax for a few minutes-I tune in some music and read, write or do a crossword.

It's a nice quiet part of the day and I appreciate it. So does the Edster.

The last few weeks have been spent, by the cat, getting the feel of the changing weather....Lately, I am filling more requests for lap time and have to watch where I step when I stand up to move around.

This only means one thing, cooler weather is coming and the thought of having a cat as an extra appendage is nigh.

A few days ago I was sitting with the paper when my toes started to get hotter and hotter.......

I knew that Ed was down on the floor hanging out. He usually puts a paw out to make contact with me or to let me know that he is around.

I was pleasantly enjoying the closeness and tenderness of the moment and wanted to take in the sight of the cat that I love.

I put down the paper, looked down and saw this.

Lovely, simply lovely.

Hay Richard welcome to my world. I hate the heat, but on any given evenning I have several around me. The other night I dozed off when I came too I had Precious on my right chest and shoulder, Mits on the arm of the chair and my right shoulder. Lucky on the front of the right chair arm. Bailey on the back of the left chair arm, Egypt on the front of the left chair arm, and Demetri on my lap. With winter comming I have a feeling that the chair is going to get very, very crowded and very warm. By the way that's almost 70 pounds of cat.
The only one I was missing was Bart, he like to sit next to me in the chair. Bart would add 26 more.

The Found Cats all used to gather around me , but dont as often as I am a restless sleeper due to pain in my shoulders and feet and I roll about.
They come when I am awake , but sleep together in piles away from the Friendly but Restless Giant!!!
:):):)
Edsters a regular Foot Warmer!!

What a sweet companion. I love snuggling w/ my babies, they make me not want to get up to go to work in the am. :)

Yep, my Coco Puff likes to lie across my shoes and better if my feet are in them. Gotta love 'em! :)

Fluffy Edster, are you comfortable in that position? Cassie likes to sleep that way sometimes, too.

Gosh, I didn't think it ever rained or got cold in California!!! :D

I'd like a toe warmer like that! Without Leonardo I will probably freeze to death this winter. He was my cuddler!!!

I really feel dirty for "rubben his nubbin".:eek::DEdster may be neutered but he still enjoys a good toe job, huh? ;)

since I am often awakened by Havoc plopping his butt on my chin, you should consider yourself lucky that Ed's a foot man. :p

2 males, doing some male bonding... How SWEET! (and to think, you will have all winter to snuggle together and do LOTS of bonding)

We all love the snuggles, but my kids have learned that when dad is sleeping in bed DO NOT lay by dads feet. If they get warm they kick. So all my kids stay above the nees. On the other side of the bed there is 2-3 on my wifes feet and legs and at lest 1-2 on top of her. There is always 5-12 in the bed.
The only problem we have is with all the purring it's sometimes hard to sleep.

I can hardly wait for the full body assault.

In a few months I'll be having the nightmares about trying to run away in my dreams and waking up to find the Edster asleep on my legs!:D

UGH, you all insist on making fun of me instead of listening to my woes about my toes!!!!

Keep it up....I just may break out the Dr Seuss inspired parody/poetry.

Did you ever sleep with a cat in bed
Did you ever sleep with ten cats on your head?
Asleep does one cat have the weight of a cow?
If you didn't, you know it now.
If you've never slept with cats, you should
These things are fun, and fun is good.

There and here, here and there
Those Kitty things are everywhere.

;)

Thank you Dr Seuss and One fish, Two fish.....;)

I will not eat it in a bowl
I will not eat it, damn my soul
I do not like green treats and ham
I do not like them, Kat I Am.

My girl Zöe thinks she is still a wee baby kitten, in fact she is a 12lb fluff ball and when she insists on being under my chin, on my chest she is so warm and cozy even in 100 degree weather...also I can't see the tv or use my laptop....but I wouldn't miss this for the world.....

When Cassie and I crawl in bed
She meows until I lay my head
At the bed's foot, and then she hops
Right up to sleep with me - it's tops!

Rascal... She's got "her" spot at the foot of the bed, and she'll meow till I turn around for her. Then she will hop up and back herself into the crook of my elbow. This is our bedtime routine.
