Hello PT. I'm sorry that I've been away for so long. My situation hasn't really improved so I'm not able to chat as much as I used to. I'm sorry to say that my dear, sweet Brandee girl has left us to go to the RB. My mom, son and I went back home to New Mexico and had a friend of mine take care of Maggy, Sammy and Emma. Since Brandee needed more advanced care, we opted to board her. While we were away, her kidneys gave out and she died. We were never able to bring her home. As some of you might remember when I introduced her, Brandee was found on a native American reservation. She was only a couple of months old, starving and being beaten by some young boys. A good sumaritan rescured her and took her toto a shelter where i recued her. She had zero social skills and needed lots and lots of love. And that's exactly what she got. She gave us 15 amazing years of her silly, yet loving antics. She even graced one of the pages of the PT calendar last year thanks to Kay (kfamr) because she was soooooo photogenic. She is loved and missed dearly. God speed to the bridge, Brandee. You are sorely loved and missed.

After such a horrible start, having 15 years with you and your family was just what Brandee needed! That is 15 years of fun and laughter, so hang on to those good memories. Hugs to you at this time.

RIP, Brandee.

Thank you, lizbud for posting this thread. I tried doing it myself, but I had done the OP on my phone and wasn't able to attach it.

Thank you all for your kind words. I knew you all would share kind and comforting words to help us learn to live without her.

It is good to hear from you - but I am so sorry that you bring us bad news.

How wonderful you had so many years with Brandee and were able to give her all of the love that she deserved.

Play hard now Brandee and visit all of our other beautiful friends that have crossed over the bridge.

For some reason there are two of these posts - since this is the one used by most - I have added what I sad in the other one.

Deb, I am so sorry to hear this. I sure you will miss Brandee lots and lots. How kind of you to rescue such a deserving pup. It sounds like she needed lots and lots of love after what she had been through and I am sure she got it from you and your family. Godspeed, Brandee.

By the way, Debby you are also missed. Stop by again and let us know how you are doing.

A lot of us have older dogs and can imagine what you must be going through. I don't know what I will do without our Ginger (she is 11 and pretty old for a Beagle). I hope you find comfort in the fact that you gave her 15 beautiful years of life with a loving and caring family!!!

Thanks again for your support, everyone.

I am doing ok in learning how to live without Brandee. I am comforted by the fact that I know she is no longer in pain. And maybe, just maybe she's with Bonnie, Payton (and all my other fur babies that have gone to the RB) and my dad.

I will try to check in more often. I've got a lot of new Hugito pics to share with you! ;-)
