It had been a while ... maybe they otta 'Take a Hike'.
HEY Guys ... Wanna go OUT?
YESSSSS!!
* SmokeMutt leaped out from under the 'puter desk ...
* Cinder bailed out of the padded living room chair ...
* One missing - where's da Mini~Mutt? ...
Sounds of a struggle from the Bunk Room ... Heidi rolls herself up in the sheet
and then can't figure out how to "open the door" on the sheet ...
A loud *THUMMP* indicates she either rolled out or rolled OFF the bed.
:rolleyes:
OK - Three to GO *bouncing up & down at the front door.
*SWISH* and the door's open and the mob is half way down the steps ...
***FLASH***
I can't believe all three could STOP & FREEZE in mid-step ...
Three Pair of eyes scan the sky ...
"Did'ja SEE that?"
OH Go ON ... ya didn't see a thing ... GO *PEE* - NOW!
They all walked out into the shadows - and weren't gone long enough to
either lift a leg or squat ... and the rush was on to retreat onto the porch.
OK --- Be GONE wiff ya! ... GO! ... GO *PEE*!!
I waved them all off the porch and closed the door - them out - me in.
A look out the peep hole said they all headed off the porch again.
About 3 minutes later ...
* Rummmmmmmmmble (OMG!)
* **FLASH**
* ***BOOM***
Uhhhhhh-Ooooooooooh ...
Within seconds >>>
* YIPP-YAPP~YIPPITY-YAP-YAP-Yap-YAPPPPPPPPP!
* *KNOCK*-*KNOCK*-*KNOCK*
* ***WHIIIIINNNNNNNE***
My guess ... That's Three for Three wishing to RE-enter the Ranch.
HEY - Did anyone remember to *go Pee*??
Yeah Dad ... step outside an check for Wet Spotz.
:rolleyes:
Their outside adventures are OVER till it's been dark and QUIET for at least an hour!

Awww, poor puppers. I'm so glad we don't have storms like that here. Zoee would be a mess!
I hope it calms down some so you guys can go potty. :)

Our old Great Dane, Gracie, wasn't spooked by the thunder and lightening, but she did NOT like rain. She'd ask to go out, get to the edge of the porch and see that it was raining, then put the brakes on. We'd say "Go on, girl, a little rain won't hurt you!" and she'd look at us like we were torturing her. Eventually, when she just couldn't hold out any longer, she'd dash down the stairs across the driveway and not even sniff around for a 'good' spot - she's just do a half-turn, squat and piddle and be back on the porch faster than one could normally get her to amble down the stairs.
Apparently big shiny black dogs are made of sugar, and they WILL melt in the rain. At least Gracie though so!

Lady would agree that black dogs are made out of sugar.
If it's raining it's all anyone can do to get her to go off of the deck before she squats.

Reminds me of First Shepherd Casey (RB http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/frown.gif ) who had NO problem with snow ...
but had a major hang-up with *rain*!
She loved getting soaking wet - as long as there was a 2-Legger getting wet at the same time!
"Outies" in the rain didn't happen unless the 2-Legger stepped off the porch WITH her!
And she *watched* over her shoulder ... make a fast move back under cover
and she'd *stop* in mid-pee and often beat you back onto the porch!
Sure do *miss* that Girl!! http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/frown.gif

Sascha (my sister's dog) solved this problem by backing her butt out the doggie door and peeing. The front part of her was kept warm and dry. :D

I would consider getting Delilah to even go out a victory. Thanks for the story, Phred. You should really go into writing books. There would be some big bucks out there in that for you. :D

So far... Remy is awesome. The only ones that scare her are the ones that CRACK really loud. They scare me too though. Lol It just makes you jump cuz you weren't expecting it. And she's not TOO bad with fireworks... phew.
Honda used to HATE fireworks. One year a family friend was watching her over 4th of july and they had to take their bed apart to get Honda out from under it. Also,
Dad was taking a shower in the basement and left the door open because no one was home and it was lightning and thundering... Honda got in the shower with him and he FREAKED out because he thought he was alone. Lol It was only Honda girl though. :)
HAHAHA!!! Poor pups!:rolleyes:
Beanie does pretty good in storms. As long as he's not outside.
Chloe on the other hand...My big bad 65lb puppy...She is terrified of storms! She hides her head in my armpit and whines. If she's outside and it's not storming yet...YOU ARE GONNA HEAR ABOUT IT! She thinks I neglect her if she's outside by herself for any amount of time.:rolleyes:

LOL! What a smartie-pants!!! :D:D
It's been booming and flashing here all night. I conjoled Mz Logan into the "puter room and put on all the lights and TV. Her newest thing is going down the basement, hiding in a corner on a throw rug with the light on all night. She's only peed once today, when it stopped raining. So, no flashy camera, flashlight or lightening. *Sigh*. She'll poke her head out the door, see a drop of rain and run back in. Her bladder must be amazing.
Blue doesnt care if its raining or that the yard is wet, thunder or loud noises dont bother him either. Verde doesnt like the rain or a wet yard. She doesnt lt seem to like it if it snowing outside. Verde doesnt like thunder or loud noises.
One river trip with the dogs we were target shooting on the bank and Verde and a friends dog where trying to hide, and Blue was running down the beach towards the target. :rolleyes:

Poor pups, such a *mean dad* to send them out in the rain! Star doesnt like to go in the rain, but if she has to go, she goes. But if its thundering, she'll hoild out. Jack couldn't care less, rain, shine, snow, storms, hurricanes....
