Casey started taking the Cephalexin on Friday for her bladder infection. Today, my daughter got an antibiotic for a throat infection from her doctor. I compared the bottles to find out that they are both taking the same medication, same dosage, same exact pill...too funny!

OK ... so who paid more per pill?

LOL that is funny!

Today we had our pharmacology lab in school. We learned that there are not a ton of FDA approved medications for animals, but, there are A LOT of medications for humans, that work just as well for our pets. Cephalexin is one of them!

That would be so interesting. I would love to work in a vet's office in some capacity but I am past the age of re-training. :D

Casey also takes Piroxicam for her bladder tumor which I get at the pharmacy because it is a people drug. The tumor is gone but the vet decided it would be best to keep her on it since she is a senior citizen and Piroxicam is an anti-inflammatory. I was talking with a friend of mine that I hadn't seen in quite some time and telling her about Casey's health issues. Turns out my friend takes Piroxicam too. We both got a kick out of that.
