I'm a little behind, obviously ... I just found out that guitarist Les Paul passed away. Here's a quote about him: U2 guitarist The Edge said, "His legacy as a musician and inventor will live on and his influence on rock and roll will never be forgotten." The rock 'n' roll heaven (well, you know they've got a helluva band) just got one better.

RIP Mr. Paul, a true musical innovator and influence to music and culture.

I heard on the radio that he was the first person to figure out how to lay multiple tracks of music onto a single recording. What would the music world do without that feat today?

One of the very first albums I received as a kid was of Les Paul and Mary Ford - given to me by my brother. Both brothers played guitar - one played Hawaiian guitar and one steel guitar. However, my musical talents were non existent! :(
I believe I still have that album, altho no way of playing it............
RIP LP - your talent will be missed by many.
