Thank you for the candle. It seems to be working. Since I gave Grandma my glass square pyrex bowl, the carpet is much much dryer.

Chester is feeling better. He even gave Angel a gentle pat on the bum today. How very brave of him. ;) :D

Moff, I am glad that the pyrex dish has helped the water bowl situation.

Emma used to drag the (heavy) water bowl across the kitchen floor.
If I went from the carpeted room to the linoleum I could have landed on my tushie wooshie with all of the water on the floor. The pyrex dish seemed to break her of the habit, so I don't need to use it anymore.

It is funny how cats interact. One day Annie is all over Rascal. Finally he has enough of her and tells her about it. Emma sees her opportunity and then she becomes Rascal's favorite for a few days. What is funny is that Annie then goes into a total funk and pouts - and hisses at Emma.

If Annie were a human she would definately be wearing a tiara!!

another thing you could try for the water.. is to get a doggie bowl.. a heavy one.. there are some especially for doggies whi love to tip their bowls.. if a dog can´t tip it.. I´m sure a kitty would have so much more trouble attempting to..

Winnie and Angel.. you lil brats.. behave pretty ladies.. mommy loves you.. and you don´t really want to give her gray hairs do you?

I had a surprise this morning. I put mail out on my box. After I got back on the computer, I heard a cat meowning really loud. I did a nose check, chester asleep by my chair, Grandma asleep on the bed, Angel asleep on the stand in the middle room, Winnie in the kitchen.

So, I opened the door. There was Winnie between the door and the screen door. She snuck behind me when I shut the door and I didn't see her. She was really glad to be back in the house and not sandwiched between that cold metal outside door and the wooden inside door anymore. She's been sleeping in the middle room since then. poor baby
I'm just glad that ouside door shuts so tight even I have a hard time getting it open. :eek:

Oh Moff, how frightening! I have a huge fear about doors. If my back door is open (door, plus screen door) and it is a windy day - if you open my front door the air will blow through the house and make the back door slam shut. I try to remember to put a door stop on that door when it is windy.

My fear is that one of the kitties will be caught between those doors.
They love to sit at the back door and watch all of the goings on in the yard. But the door slams so suddenly that I don't think they would have time to escape.

one that loves to follow me out the door) He didn't make a noise that
I could hear, but 2 of the other cats sat at the inside door and just
stared at the door till I opened it again and there he was.:D

I just can't believe winnie snuck by me like that. I know she was in the kitchen when I opened that door. She is um, puddgy now, so should have stirred up a breeze at least when she went by me. So glad she is safe inside. :love:

Poor Winnie's hair was so thin and she had bald patches when she first came inside. Not now. She's really blossomed. :D

Angel has her nawtee meter set on super over drive this morning. She has been running from one end of the house to the other, leaping, and jumping half way up the curtains. The rain moving in must have energized her. She got so over heated she just stood there panting for a bit. I gave her a time out in the kitchen to calm down. Don't want her getting sick. Silly girl.

The time out may not have been one of my best ideas. Something just crashed in the kitchen. sigh :love:

The crash in the kitchen was some bowls I had sitting out on the counter. Since I now have to keep the cabinets tied shut, I keep some non-breakable bowls and a plate and cup out on the cupboard. They were in her way. :rolleyes:

I'd be afraid to put Angel in one of those enclosed carriers and take her outside. She'd find a way out for sure.
I check and recheck and recheck her carrier when I take her to the vet now. :love:

I tried to brush her hair this morning. I would be easier to brush the wind!!! :eek:

And Winnie, there is so much static in the air, her hair looks worse after it's brushed. poor baby
Winnie did enjoy it though. Specially having her tummy brushed.

Angel has sure been feeling fine this morning. She is stuck in overdrive.
Zoom through the house... Zoom onto the back of one recliner ... JUMP to the other.. Zoom into the bedroom ... JUMP on the bed ... Swing from the window blinds ... Get yelled at by mom ... Zoom into the middle room then kitchen then ... Zoom back and start over. Beware any kitty in her way, she Zooms right over them. :rolleyes:

She can stop time. I heard a noise from the bedroom that I didn't recognize. Seems Miss Angel was up on my tv and knocked my battery operated clock, plop, right into Grandma's water bowl.

Hoping I wouldn't get fried, I fished it out and took the battery out. Hopefully, it will work again after it dries out. If not, She not only stopped time, she killed it. :rolleyes: :love:

I heard an awful racket in the kitchen a while ago. It turned out to be Angel. She got the metal sink stopper and pushed it on the floor. She had it upside down and was having a grand time pushing it across the floor. :D

The entire world and everything in it is her toy, I think. ;) :love:

Angel, Angel! How ever did you get the stopper out of the sink bowl? I am still trying to figure this one out. And sending the bedroom clock for a dunking! Imagine! you sure are cute! :love:

Oh, Moff, I know it can't be funny for you ALL of the time - what a monkey you have on your hands.:love:

But for us - I think we all sit back and just howl at the antics this little one gets into - kitchen strainers - clocks - drapes and curtain rods..........
It is almost like you need to have a video camera running full time just to keep up with her.

I think when she is about five she will settle down:D:D

Emma single pawed....destroyed lining on two chairs - mattress lining - two glass shades to antique lamps and if anything is left on the dining room table - it is on the floor in the morning. There are also toys all over the floor in the living room - they must yell 'PARTEEE' the minute I go to sleep.

We had lots of fun this afternoon. Angel and Winnie helped me wash grapes and take them off the stems. Reminded me of how Luke loved grapes. Lots of play value in a grape. :D

Reminded me that there are lots of things I don't do by myself any more: brush my teeth, comb my hair, talk on the phone, even go to the bathroom. I do shut the door but there are two sets of pawsies poking out under the door begging me to 'hurry and come out mom'.

The clock dried out and I put it back together. So far, it's working, even the battery that was in it. :D

To think that the man who owns that house next door was going to 'get rid' of these two lovable babies just makes me sick. :( I can hardly bare to think of it.

Almost 8 months old...wow, where has the time gone?

I am in trouble with the whole lot of them today. Specially Angel. I dared to cook bbq chicken in my crock pot today and not let them have any. Angel is very very fond of chicken. She tries to crawl up and peek in the pot when I take the lid off.
I don't think the bbq sauce would sit well in her tummy though. :D :love:

Dear Elyse,

I will admit to playing a bit with the new babies. Mommy Winnie is still my favorite toy though. We are all helping Mommy Connie remember how to count. This morning the babies were chasing each other through the house and mommy Winnie was chasing me the other way. Mommy Connie said, "all right you two, three, er four. Isn't she smart? ;) She kept muttering something about freight trains in the house though????

The babies are in a time out in the kitchen right now. I told them not to pull on that cord that pulls the computer internet modem but they wouldn't listen. Lucky for them, it didn't break when it landed on the carpet. :eek:

Mommy Connie says it's like having two sets of twins: one set is toddlers and one is babies, plus an adult and a senior citizen all living with her. We think when she calls us little poops, it's a term of endearment. :D

Oh, here is a new pic of the babies. They were sleeping off a rampage last night.

I am looking forward to my purr-rthday. What a party we can all have, eh? :D

Momma Winnie and Grandma and I are all fine. Grandma stays in the bedroom most of the day. Mommy Connie shuts the door so Grandma can have some peace and quiet. The boys are a bit to take at times.

Still we are all getting to know each other. I even played with them this morning and took a snooz almost beside them this afternoon. Don't want to rush things and give them big heads because I sort of like them, maybe. :love:

Chip was the shy one. He has more than made up for that though. He's more the ringleader now and the reason they are under lock down in the kitchen. He just insists on swinging from the curtains on the front door today. :rolleyes: :D :love:

I got a laugh at Chuck and Chip this morning. I had them shut into the kitchen and when I went in, I couldn't find Chip. I knew he was there for breakfast. I finally happended to notice one of their big stuffie toys inside the front of the kitty carrier I keep in the kitchen.

Yep, there was Chip in behind it. Chuck had to have shut him in because he couldn't have got in, then took the stuffie in and then shut the door on himself. At least Chuck gave him a toy to play with. What stinkers these two are.

Actually, there are some old towels in there she is laying on. Nothing to cool her bum off in there but there is an ac vent not too far over her head. Maybe it blows down on her there. I found Chuck in the bucket last night. How he got up there is a mystery. The bucket is on my dryer. :D :love:

Actually, there are some old towels in there she is laying on. Nothing to cool her bum off in there but there is an ac vent not too far over her head. Maybe it blows down on her there. I found Chuck in the bucket last night. How he got up there is a mystery. The bucket is on my dryer. :D :love:

When kittens want to get up on something they'll find a way to do it. Both of my widdle boys are little monkeys when it comes to climbing and they do it quite well.:)

Ok, it's my fault. I haven't been sleeping well and stupidly fell asleep in my recliner this afternoon leaving Winnie loose in here.

When I woke up, she was laying beside a stand I have some things on looking like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. Then I saw the cord. The cord to my little clock that was right over her head. I thought the cord was out of reach. It is now chewed completly in to. sigh :(
