Angel is snoozing her little head off in my recliner right now. She doesn't know she is to go get her big girl shots tomorrow. I think I'll wait until it's time to stuff her in her carrier to tell her! :D

Had to come here and get my morning smile....
I'm going to put up my Christmas tree today and was just thinking - I'll bet there won't be any dangling purrornements in MOFF's house this season. :D:D

I gave up on a Christmas tree YEARS ago!!! :D
Angel was a good girl at the vet this morning. She now weighs 3.1 pounds.
The vet says that lump on her neck is nothing to worry about but to keep an eye on it. They gave these shots in a different area.
I don't think she feels well right now. She is sleeping in my bed and has been since she got home. Well, right after Winnie gave her a check over and she smacked Chester that is. :D

I forgot to tell y'all that the woman police officer that was here earlier this week came into the office while I was waiting to check Angel in.
I offered to let me go ahead of me since I thought she was on duty. She said that's ok. She is friends with the receptionist and was not on duty. Anyway, I asked her if they ever found the right address they were looking for. She said yes. It was 4 blocks away from me.
Seems the lady that called it in, is new in town and didn't know the street numbers or something. Seems to me though she would have know what street she lived on and if it was a neighbor, the number wouldn't be 4 blocks away. Anyway, all is well with me and the police. For now any way, I think. ;) :D

I hope Angel feels better after her nap.:) So, Angel was sleeping in your bed,
does that mean she slept near Grandma?
I am always amazed that dogs & cats can smell the faintest smell of
the Vets offices. They have incredible noses.:D

Moff, I hope you and the gang of four have a great day! Grandma and Angel on the bed at the same time is excellent news. Boy, it doesn't take long for them to take over does it?
And what's great is that we all love it!

Angel is feeling better today. She did feel a bit punky for a while after the shots but was back to her ornery self by bed time.
The gang up on Grandma thing still goes on. Or at least she thinks it is.
Mainly it's Winnie and Chester. I tried carrying grandma in to the litter boxes and shuting her in so the others couldn't bother her. She hates being picked up so much she started hiding under the be when I went near her. Chasing her around was making her more afraid of me and stressing me out too.
So, now I take a litter box in to her in the bedroom. She has food and water in there. I just put a box in during the ususal "peak" potty times: when she gets up in the morning, after meals, and before bed. Also any time she looks like she may be "looking" for a place to go. If I have to be gone for a while, I put a box in there.
That way I don't have the smell of leaving it in there all the time. Not an ideal situation but workable for now any way.

Guess what I saw on my bed this morning. Grandma was laying all stretched out with her back along the wall at the head of the bed. Angel was laying in the same position just a few inches from her. They were almost spooning. Of course, when I went to get my camera, they moved. sigh
Now if I can get Grandma and Winnie to tolerate each other.

Congratulations! Those sort of pictures are indeed the best!!!
Poor Grandma peed on the bedroom carpet today. I take full blame. The men came to reroof my front porch and I shut her and Chester in there without a littler box. I know it wasn't Chester. He spent the entire time under the bed.
I kissed her head and told her it was ok. It was my fault not hers.
When the roofers come to finish up tomorrow, I'll be sure and put a box in there. :D
Angel and Winnie lucked out and were shut in the kitchen/bathroom where the boxes were.

A little over a year ago, we were watching our beloved Tomas grow old and a time came when we knew it was time to make that final trip to the vets. The day before, I was in PetSmart looking for a new scratching post for our other cats when a young lady came up to me and asked if I knew anyone who wanted a kitty. I thought for a second and said, "Maybe." She told me that a pet store in the next town had three kittens who were being given away free to good homes. When I got there, one had already found a home, but there were two left and I fell in love with this mischievious little tuxedo, which I adopted and brought home. My boyfriend fell in love with him immediately! A good thing, too, because his mother died the next day and Tomas was PTS the day after that. Little Buddy kept us going and still does. He is such a character and that little tuxie has grown into a beautiful 17 pounder! The right kitten, like Angel or Buddy, brings sunshine and laughter back into the home. I know you miss Morgan, who wouldn't miss such a great cat? But maybe it's time for a little sunshine in your home.

She zoomed right past Chester and frightened the snot out of him. I was laughing so hard I bout wet myself. ah the life with a kitten!!! :D

The kids have been bounching off the walls today, specially Angel. Makes me want to climb the walls. There is a change in the weather coming tomorrow afternoon. I think they are feeling it. I know my knees are.
Angel got herself trapped in a corner this morning. In the green room I have an old record cabinet that my bro made in high school. It has my old computer monitor on it and the old computer and printer stacked up beside it making a small empty spot in the corner. Luke used to get back there all the time but he could jump out. Miss Angel got back there and couldn't get out. I had to move some stuff to reach her.
when I looked in to get her, she was gone. She crawled under the record cabinet. She managed to get her head and front shoulders out but then stuck. Lucky for her, I was able to pull her the rest of the way out. Would you like to kitty sit for the day? :D

I don't put up a tree or decorations any more. I haven't for a long time. I get too depressed during the Christmas season being by myself. And with 4 cats it's too much trouble. With my arthritis getting so bad, I'm doing good to do what I Need to do every day without extra hastle.

I don't put up a tree or decorations any more. I haven't for a long time. I get too depressed during the Christmas season being by myself. And with 4 cats it's too much trouble. With my arthritis getting so bad, I'm doing good to do what I Need to do every day without extra hastle.
If I remember to get a new camera battery, there may be pics of them in wrapping paper though. :D
I don't decorate any more either. It was either puppys or kittens that
ran around & undid all my good work.:) They get presents without the
tree. Oh, I sure hope you remember the batteries. Love to see more of
the gang.:)

When my Lexie arrived we no longer had a tree because she is the type to destroy it, has done with most things in the house, however i have the house decorated and she seems to leave most of that alone and now i have a gorgeous little xmas tree with lights only that is musical, i picked it up last year, was 90 dollars and got it for 10, i remember posting about my great bargain.
I was sad reading your thread about being depressed and alone on xmas, i too have arthritis and i can well empathise how much effort it takes just to do the little things in life,i hope you can find some happiness at xmas time and I will be thinking of you.

Angel spent her first night out of the bathroom last night. I shut her in the bedroom with me and Grandma. She did real well except she cleaned off a shelf for me. :D
Now, I am having a problem with Grandma. She wouldn't eat breakfast. She did lick at it a bit. She did get up and use the potty. Then crawled under the bed. Thinking she was wanting some alone time, I shut her in the bedroom. She did come out. She was sleeping by my pillow until I peeked in. Next time I looked, she was laying on the carpet on the far side of the bed. I gave her some tuna. She did drink the juice and eat a bit of that. Now she's back under the bed and won't come out.
I don't know if she's sick or just depressed because she feels like she's lost the last safe haven in her world. :(
She just came out and was on the bed for a bit. I offered her her fav treats. nope. I brushed her hair which she usually loves. wasn't interested. She did go get a drink and is now back under the bed. :(
Maybe Grandma is upset by all of the antics during the night with Angel.
Sounds like neither you or Grandma got a good nights sleep.
MOFF, I hope you feel better soon.
I find that my cats have good days and bad. Sometimes Rascal is one huge love bug - like today - and other days he wants nothing to do with me and just wants to sleep.
I hope Grandma settles down for you.

Grandma is finally out from under the bed. At supper time, I fixed her plate and went in the bedroom and closed the door. She was under the bed. So, with lots of grunting and growning, I got on the floor and peeked under the bed at her. I pushed her plate to her and told her if I got stuck on the floor it was not going to be a good thing for any of us. She did not look a bit sorry.
I stayed on my tummy watching her. She ate some. Not a lot but at least she ate. Then the little sweetie deserted me and went out the other side. I had planned on how I could get up and was able to pull myself up using the huge plastic box that the cats use to get up and down off the bed.
I hope she doesn't expect all her meals under there.
She is now snoozing on my bed. Angel will have to go back into the bathroom tonight. :(

Grandma is fine this morning. I locked Angel in the bathroom last night. I think Grandma just had too much of angel during that night. Believe me, after a while that little girl can get on your nerves! :D
I had taken a pain pill so slept really soundly that night. I didn't even hear Angel knocking things off the shelf. She was probably bugging grandma until she just had had enough and was mad at me for bringing the little pest in to bother her.

Oh, wanted to ask about Grandma. How is she doing these days?
Angel has lots of favorite toys but none keep her busy for more than 5 minutes. :D
Grandma is doing pretty good. I've started shutting Angel and Winnie in the kitchen together at night. They have access to food, water and the litter box in the bathroom.
That leaves the middle room, front room, and bedroom for Chester and Grandma at night. Chester can use the litter box in the bedroom along with the food and water I keep in there for Grandma. She doesn't mind him.
He even gets the chance to come snuggle with us on the bed. He's being chased off his favorite places to sleep by Winnie and Angel.
Grandma doesn't mind Angel visiting her for a while in the day time. I think she just gets tired of her during the night. That seems to be when Angel is really cranked up to high gear.
I try and keep Winnie out of the bedroom all together. She wants to pick a fight with Grandma. Grandma needs at least one place she can feel safe in the house.
Now, aren't you sorry you asked? ;)

Angel and Winnie were running from one end of the house to the other like loons. Suddenly, Angel hurled through the air and landed on the cord to my head phones. She knocked the cd player off the stand and the headphones and my glasses off my head. :(
Luckily for that little girl, nothing was broken. Specially my glasses. I may be almost blind without them but I would have been able to find her and lock her up until her surgery next month. This is why I have no Christmas tree!

LOL :D Maybe she is looking for her Christmas tree. She wants to trim
the tree with cardboard strands. Very avant garde, don't ya know.:D

Could you please have your meowmie give you, Chester, Winnie and Grandma some hugs and snuggles from me?

Miss Angel is feeling punky today. I found poop all over the kitchen floor this morning. Some of it was runny. I'm thinking she just had to many yummy treats the last few days.
Her little bum was all dirty so I had to give that end a bath. It's odd that she didn't even try to get to the litter box. It was all in the area where she likes to play. Must have needed to go fast!!!
She did eat some breakfast but is just laying around sleeping now. I hope she feels better soon. She drives me nuts getting into everything but being sick is even worse. :(

She has been laying around all day. I got her up a bit ago and she acts like her tummy hurts. When she walks she sort of holds it in. When I touch it she sorts of purr/moans.
There are no vets open and I have no way of getting her there. The buses won't run until tomorow if then. The streets are still iced over because of the storm.
I have no idea what she could have eaten. No human food. I thought she just had too many kitty treats. I tried to keep all tape and ribbons out of reach except for when we first opened presents and took pictures. I have no clue as to what is wrong.
Please pray for us! :(

I try to be extra careful with ribbons, tape and things. I took that ribbon away from her and threw it in the trash as soon as I snapped that pick.
She chews on boxes though and pulls tape off of them and chews on any plastic she can fine. I try and keep it all away from her but she is so sneaky.
I called her vet at home. She said not to panic yet. But to give her syringes of water if she's not drinking. That's probably better if she doesn't eat until tomorrow. If she's not better in the morning to call them and they would get her in there.
Poor Winnie can't understand why Angel won't play with her. :(

Poor Angel!!!! Silly kittens get into everything, and even if they get something on their tongue accidentally, they can't spit it out because of the wee barbs on the tongue that point backwards. :(

Not eating or drinking. I gave her a syring full of water a while ago. Her vet said to do that if she's not drinking. If the buses aren't running, I may be able to get the vet to come pick her up. They did for Luke when he was sick. I don't mind paying to have them do that. :(

I'm so sorry to hear about Angel.:( I hope it's nothing serious and if you have to take her to the vets that your vet will be able to help her feel better. Probably not eating will help her tummy to feel better so I wouldn't worry about that but it's good that you can syringe water into her as needed so she doesn't become dehydrated. Miss Angel is currently at the vets. She has a dangerously high temp. The vet thinks she has a virus because she is not throwing up. They are giving her stuff to bring her fever down.
They are going to keep her over night as a precaution. Sometimes cats can go into convulsions with high temps and with our roads as bad as they are an me with no car, I could not get her to them in time if I needed too.
I will call later this afternoon and check on her.

It is so funny watching her chase her tail. She starts like any normal cat going round and round, then drops to the floor and rolls like a ball chasing it. So funny to see! She does manage to catch it from time to time.
She's napping now. I did manage to get some of her med down her. Some of it went on her paw. She can lick that off and a few drops went on the counter. I hope she got enough to help her. sigh

No pics today. We had a slight set back. She was fine at supper but when she ate some dry food before bedtime, it came back up.
That happened a couple of times. It did dawn on me she could keep water down with no problem so I figured her tummy just wasn't ready for much food yet. I gave her a spoonful of juice from a can of people tuna. She kept it down fine. Later I gave her another spoonful with a bit of tuna in it this time. All was fine. Then a gave her a tiny bit of kitten kibble that was left over from before she became a "big" girl. That stayed too.
She ate a small bit of wet cat food for breakfast and it's stayed down.
I did call the vet, just in case. She said just keep giving her small snacks. Her little tummy was so empty, it's just trying to adjust to food again.
So, we are heading in the right direction. I just wish I could get more of her med down her. She fights like a tiny tiger. sheesh

When my cat Michael had to do meds I added the med to hs wet
food & he drank/ate it right up. I wanted to keep my fingers, so I thought
it deserved a try.( I used the dropper that came with the meds)
I hope Angel gets better a little each day.:)

I don't know if you have access to any or to get to the store, but when one of mine was sick in their tummy I gave her chicken and turkey baby food for a few days to let her adjust to food again. It worked great because it was bland, too. I'm so glad she is feeling better and is back home w/ you guys....
