Did You Ever See

A cat lay down while drinking from their water bowl? My Cat Blackie
has started doing just that. He's not ill, nothing wrong with his legs or
anything. It's been about two weeks now, and it's the funnest thing to
watch.:) He reminds me of a scene from an old movie depicting the roman
empire.:D

The only digital camera I have is not working. I don't have a cell
phone either. I could get one of those throw away film cameras
and keep it handy for next time.:) Blackie rests his chin on the edge
of the bowl while he drinks.:D

My kitty, Jade-5 yrs old, does that on occasion with her food. Just the other day I caught her lying on her back/side, pulling pieces of her food out of her dish with her left paw and eating it. I laughed my butt off, wondering how lazy, tired and hungry she had to be to do that. She gave me a look like "what's so funny"? But she has issues with putting her face into her bowl... she doesn't.. instead she picks one piece out at a time, pulls it away from her dish and eats it. But usually she isn't laying down. If her water dish isn't full to the brim, she won't drink it.
Aren't all our cats silly!!

Erp lays down when drinking from her bowl on top of the freezer. She cant lay down if she wants to drink from the dogs bowl.

Mack doesn't drink while laying down but he eats laying down. He is the laziest cat ever. He lays by the food bowl, eats, goes to sleep, wakes up and eats again. He is not ill either. Just lazy.

My Creamsicle does that on occasion but in her case I think it's sheer laziness.

Yesterday morning I was in the kitchen fixing myself a cup of coffee
when I noticed Blackie laying with his chin on the rim of the water bowl.
I tried to quitely move into the dining room for my camera, when Maggie
(dog) let out a loud bark & Blackie straightened up.He didn't run away
but didn't stretch out like he usually does. Foiled again.:D

Oh, the dogs don't bother Blackie at all.They share the upstairs water bowl.:)

When Seraph was a kitten he would try and meow while drinking. It was the FUNNIEST thing ever! It sounded like he was drowning lol.
