Yep, yesterday my trainer put me on this adorable little pony, named Joey. I haven't ridden joey in probably close to 2 yrs. I rode him yesterday because he really needed to get out (hadn't been out in days) and she needed someone to deal with his antics.

I. Luff. That. Ponay. Hes such a sweetheart! He's a little rocket but I wasn't scared on him at all. In fact, we raised the jumps to 2'6" and I managed to do a course of them at that height! That's the highest I've jumped in a long long time. We had one refusal where we looked at this huge oxar and went "HOLY ****!" but other then that he was WONDERFUL!

And yes, I know I look ridiculous on him. He;s about 14.2, skinny, and I'm 5'8" with long legs.

He's lovely! I love fun ponies. :p I really miss riding them - I used to ride a lovely little blue roan part-welsh C a few years back, and he was a real pocket-rocket. I will never forget the first time I cantered him, it was more like flat-racing!!

You don't look overly tall on him - I still sit on the odd 16.2hh horse and look like that! The curses of being tall eh? :p

haha that sounds like Joey! He's such a sweetheart!

I know! I'm only 5'7-8" ish but my legs are too long. I've only ridden one horse in the past 3 years who's barrel was completely in contact with my leg

haha it's funny you say that - my mom always says how happy joey looks when he's cantering around a course of jumps. The sweetheart is up to anything

here's an old video of us if you wanna see what I mean:

He's one of the ponies that gave me such a good seat (not to sound like I'm bragging or anything...) his little canter taught me to go with the horse and not to lean forward because bad things would happen, hahaha.
