Oh Richard matey i LOVE cheesecake, but it is so fattening, I used to love the cookies and cream cheesecake at KFC, it was a once in a while treat, not any more though, but WW have three flavours of cheesecake out ,but last time i tried two of them i did not like them, but i think my taste buds were off lol, so will try again.

Thinking of cheescake, right now, i could devour one in a heartbeat.

Wait, let me move my fingers?:D;)

Sister,

I should say DUDE!;)

You have done so well on your diet! The thing about losing weight is the will power. I would rather see you eat a good piece of CC, as opposed the the KFC brand. If you MUST sin, Go with something good and nasty. Don't settle for the ordinary stuff.

You can have a virtual cheesecake!

DONE!

Yip a virtual one will do me nicely for now thanks, but i think i will give those WW another try, they come in chocolate, strawberry and passionfruit.

Thankfully I can still have some kinds of cheesecake in regular life, but am allergic to several kinds of fruit.

So can I have a hunk of cherry cheesecake, and then later, good old strawberry cheesecake ice cream, please?

Don't want to change the subject - but. During one of these Thursday get-togethers, we were discussing regional food and drink. Since we can't search this forum, I don't know where it is :(

Those of us from Rhode Island spoke about Coffee Cabinets - and the origin of the name. I just got my latest issue of Rhode Island Monthly - and this is the reason they give -

The name comes from when milk shake mixers were bolted to the cabinet at drug store counters.

Now that is cleared up, we can get back to the cheesecakes! Richard, bring me a small piece of the chocolate and we can sit and watch the Red Sox - Oakland game on that big screen TV. Bottom of the third, Sox lead 1-0.

Grace,

I dunno if we can allow Red Sox games in the bar the way they've been playing lately.......

Might be hazardous for the TV. :p

Right! I've also read that they were so named because the coffee syrup was kept in a wooden cabinet behind the counter.

On to cheesecake - one of my favorite subjects. Richard, do you think you can run over to Sam's and pick up one of those really big ones - precut and a sampler of several different kinds. I don't want to limit myself to only one variety today. If anybody wants - I have a really good and simple cheesecake recipe I'd be willing to share.

If it gets out of control, we can always switch stations. Orioles and Royals are in the 7th, Birds up 7-1. And there are several NL games going on.

That is, if our bar TV has Major League Baseball Extra Innings. If not, you can all come over to my house :)

As I remember, it was not even a week that had anything to do with coffee; maybe an ice cream one? In any case, thanks for the clarification...from one of the formerly living in Rhode Island people. :)

Milk and cheesecake!

DONE!

OH OH OH!

I had the best time last week. IT's been miserable hot here and I have been jonesing for a cold glass of milk. Fresh milk kills my stomach!

I went to the store saw and bought a box of instant.

I made and drank the whole box in about 5 days. IT was the ultimate! No stomach problems and it tasted GREAT!

I bought another box today and am going to make some for later!:p

Are you lactose intolerant or allergic?
3-4 years ago I was drinking a lot of milk and ice-cream.
Than it started to go right through me...
I bought this milk called Lacid (sp) or soy milk both come in a milk carton and got use to the taste. Than a year ago I started on milk again. (Now I limit myself to approx. 1 glass a day)
Might want to try the soy or lacid milk, it's got to taste better
than the dry?

Intolerant,
If I drink reg milk I have to plan my day accordingly.

I have tried both Lactaid and soy milk. But, I am such an infrequent milk drinker, I can buy a carton and it will sit for weeks. This is much better because I can mix a glass, or make some in an empty Gatorade bottle for later.

I thought that the powdered mild would taste nasty, but I was surprised. It wasn't all that bad! I liked it better that the soy milk!:)
thanks for the reminder, I may just try a taste test again!
