My mom was combing Peaches last night. If only I had a camera. I could of taped it and send it to AFV it was so funny. Every time mom would brush, Peaches would have a fit and try to attack the comb. She is afraid to get combed I guess, ether that or she doesn't want to part with her old fur.
Is there anyway that we can fix this problem? Or should I just tape it and send it to AFV?

I guess I have to ask: How old is Peaches? Has she ever reacted to getting groomed before? I think your Mom might hold off combing her, instead maybe try one of those grooming gloves....

try a soft brush instead. She may not like the feel of the comb's teeth against her skin. Either that or it was full of static. Was it a nylon/plastic comb?

We can't use a comb on Pinot - she'll attack as well. If her Dad sits her in his lap and gets her calm (she's not a lap cat) he can then use a brush on her. It has to be a very soothing process or it won't work.

We don't know her age since she went to us. We rescued her from a lifetime in the outdoors. We figure she is at least around 3 to 4 because she has had a couple or so litters. Next time she goes to the vets I will see if I can get a closer estimate.
Thanks for the advice. I will try the glove next time (just can't find it).
