Came home from work yesterday to find that Casey had thrown up in 3 rooms of the house. Took her outside for her walk and she seemed fine. She drank a little water. I waited and gave her some plain rice later on in the evening. I thought she was okay so I gave her a little more before bed. Woke up this morning to find she had thrown up the rice as well. I had forgotten the vet had given me some Cerenia for vomiting and nauseau last year so gave her one of those pills this morning. Now I am waiting until the vet's office opens to call them. She acts like nothing is wrong. She woke me up before 6:00 a.m. barking as usual to go outside. We went for our walk and she seems good.

Casey is going to be 13 next week on July 17. She is basically in good health. She does have trouble with her back legs and cannot jump onto the bed or into my vehicle any longer but other than that she is in good health.

Say a prayer for my sweet yellow girl this morning if you read this.

Attaching a photo I took this morning outside. It is a beautiful morning here in Pennsylvania today!

Oh no - not pretty Casey. Here's hoping it's nothing more than just an upset tummy, and she'll be feeling good as new in no time.

Myndi and Sparky are sending feel better woofs to the big girl, and Mom is saying a prayer for her.

Feel better soon Casey, so you can go outside and play in this beautiful weather that we're having! :)

Aww, I'm sorry Casey isn't feeling well. I hope everything checks out okay and the tummy feels better soon.

Thanks everyone. I am still waiting to talk to my vet. They had two emergencies this morning, two different dogs hit by cars. :(

Casey seems good for now. I gave her some organic vegetable broth that I had in the cupboard to keep her hydrated. She wasn't all that impressed with it but licked most of it out of her bowl.

Here are two more pics of her I just took this morning. She started out curled up on "her" couch and then she was bearing it all.

Sorry to hear Casey isn't feeling well. I also hope it is just an upset stomach. Sometimes, when my dogs can't keep much down, I will make them ice cubes out of beef broth. They both love ice cubes and it helps keep them hydrated. Another idea is to make the rice with beef broth. It adds a little more flavor. Hope she is doing better tomorrow. I will keep her in my prayers.

How is Casey doing? Did you ever have to take her to the vet?

BTW - I love that pic with the strategically placed butterfly. So cute...;)

Ohhhh...thanks for asking! I should have posted an update. Sorry about that! I didn't have to take her into the vet. I spoke with my vet on the phone and he told me to give her the Cerenia for 3 days, one pill a day, to stop vomitting. She was eating cooked hamburger and rice the next evening and keeping it down. Over the weekend I gradually mixed in her regular food. On Sunday Morning I was happy to see that she trotted into the bathroom with her stuffed elephant. She doesn't really play with her stuffies much these days so that was a very good sign. Two days until her 13th birthday! I haven't decided yet how we will celebrate.
