Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could direct me towards a Bengal rescue... or even a cat rescue in general that could possibly take in a Bengal in need. He is located in Northeast Arkansas, and we are willing to work out some kind of transport. We do not have the funds, but we want to help in any way possible.

Don't let that look fool you! He is actually a very sweet cat. In fact, if we weren't at our limit he would be coming to live with me in a heartbeat. He can be a bit timid, but has a great disposition. The owner that surrendered him left his papers with us and and they can be sent along with the cat.

The shelter he is at now leaves little chance at him getting adopted if he is not transferred to a rescue soon. He has been here a few months, and with kitten season in full swing his time is running out quickly.

Thanks for any help.

These are the ones I found on line; no knowledge of them, it's just what I found. I wish I was near enough to at least help transport!

This link has other links in it that might help, although the California Rescue has a notice on their site that they cannot accept any right now until the ones they have are adopted out:

I wish I could help more! Good Luck, kitty!

Thanks so much for the links!
I am going to e-mail some people tonight and tomorrow call the rescue in Lincoln. Its only 5 hours away, so I think we could work something out.

Again, thanks so much. :) I will let you know how it works out.

Send an email to the lady at the address listed below. I can't guarantee that she'll be able to help but she has contacts all over. Her website www.cathappy.net is magnificent. Good luck and please keep us posted.

Luckily I didn't have to send too many e-mails. The first one I sent was to a lady here in Arkansas. She got back to us that day and we are now in the process of arranging a time for transport. :)
Funny thing is, we actually have two Bengals with papers at the shelter. Both were surrendered by the same owner, and both are being accepted into a rescue.

Thanks for the links, everyone. I am so excited that these lovely cats are getting another chance!

Edit: After getting their records we were able to track down which breeder they came from and we are currently in the process of contacting them with the help of the lady mentioned above.

Well, we transported the two Bengals to their foster mum earlier this evening. :) The male (pictured at the start of this thread) had developed a bit of URI while at the pound but the vet should be able to fix that all up. Once these two lovely cats are altered and get a clean bill of health they will be ready to go to forever homes! I am absolutely ecstatic that we were able to get them both into a rescue. We did it just in time, too. They only had one week left before they were scheduled to be PTS.

Again...
Thanks PT for helping me find a rescue!
