Does your cat like shoes?

Tinker seems to love sandals. I often see her laying on someone's shoes. I have also caught her trying to wear them. :D

No - but I had a dog - one of my RB Lhasas - that loved to chew them up! She was quite selective too - only chewed the most expensive ones, and left the cheapies alone! :mad: At least she had good taste - (no pun intended!) ;)

My Havoc is obsessed with footwear. He plays hide and seek with his stuffed mousie by dropping it in and taking it out of whatever shoe/sandal/flip-flop is nearby. I often find flip-flops next to the bed he has brought me as "presents" during the night. (I guess it's the indoor-cat equivalent of a dead rodent, LOL). I often find him laying on sandals like Tink is doing in her pics.

I'm glad you cross-posted this from the other thread about reading. :)

My Taz loves our shoes. Especially right when we take them off. He will lay on them and roll around all over them. I've never seen Paizly do this. :D

Then again, Taz does this with our overnight bags, back packs and sometimes clothes too. He just likes our smell. Or the smell from wherever we were.

I'm so glad you asked! My meezer Coco Puff seems to be obsessed w/my shoes, even when my feet are still in them. He loves to sleep across them. Funny! Great pix. :p

Our Hope Simone LOVES shoes!!! She loves to stick her head in them, and she loves to play with the laces when you are trying to tie them!!!

My boyfriend's cat, Mau Mau, loves to lay on shoes and actually try them on! She will sleep on them and lay on them. We say she is guarding them. Whenever we see her on shoes, we say "There she is, on the job and working hard!":rolleyes: None of our other cats really care about shoes one way or another, though Ming loves purses and backpacks.

Oh! That is funny. My brother's cat Max lays on his socks. We were just talking about that last weekend on the phone because my brother had his laundry on the floor ready to wash. He said Max always lays on his dirty clothes..not the clean ones. I did read somewhere that they like the dirty clothes because they have our scent on them. That is probably why they like our shoes as well. :D

My Storm is obsessed with shoes.:) I adopted him from the Humane Society and I learned that his former owner was a shoes salesman so maybe he grew up with lots of shoes.;) Sometimes I can't find him and then I'll see him under my chair sleeping on top of my shoes.LOL:) Here's an old picture showing just that.
