Well,
Sunday starts the summer season and I think we are all derserving of some good weather!
We finally got some sunshine and I took a walk around the neighborhood today. Yes, Good Weather is here!
-----------------------------
How's about an Old Fashioned to start and something simple, like a meat and cheese platter?
:
•1 whole maraschino cherry
•1 oz. Seagram's VO
•0.25 oz. bitters
•1 tsp sugar
•1 splash water
•1 twist lemon
•1 slice orange
In an old-fashioned glass, muddle sugar, bitters and water
Add ice cubes
Add Seagram's VO
Garnish with lemon twist, orange slice and maraschino cherry
DONE?
I want to send MOFF a huge hug today, too!
DONE!
sounds good too me, I like them.

Can I have some strawberry shortcake, or strawberry ice cream? Strawberries are "summer begins" in this neck of the woods, but I am (sigh) now allergic to them.

Requesting the official Block Island beverage - the Mudslide. I'll take the Blueberry version, please -
1/2 ounce vodka
1/2 ounce Kahlua
1/2 ounce Bailey’s Irish Cream
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1/4 cup half and half
1 cup of ice
In a blender, combine all ingredients. Mix for 30 seconds or until milkshake consistency. Pour in an ice cold glass, top with fresh whipped cream and garnish with a spring of fresh mint and additional blueberries.

I was going to go for the Old Fashioned, but then I saw this - BLOCK ISLAND! OMG - I spent a good part of my youth boating (power with the parent, sailing all the rest of the time) to Block! I'll have to have one of those Blueberry Mudslides, then, for the memories!
Just one, though, then I'll move into the Old Fashioned with the cheese platter - some nice Stilton Blue cheese, maybe Dublin Irish Cheddar, New York Flatbreads, and some sliced pears sound good! :D
I would like to send MOFF some hugs, too...

We're on our third day (or is it fourth, I've already lost count) of icky weather here. I don't mind the rain so much because it's good for the garden but I'd like a couple of days of sun in a row so I can do some yard work before my yard looks like a jungle.:(
The little guy graduates from Pre-Kindergarten today. And MJ's last day is Wednesday. AAAAHHHH!! I have to find things for them to do or they'll drive me crazy.
Barkeep, I'd like something sunny to start my day, hows about a screwdriver or if you can think of something sunnier I'll take that.:)
