Smokey is definitley a free spirit and we bet he knows the words to Born Free by heart.
Hes like My Pouncer Roccalno who despte being recently spayed not only got out of her cage , but out of the Hotel too.
Shes a tough little survivor and like Smokey comes over for meals, but panics and wants out right away the time that I closed her in on the porch!

Smokey looks so good, and that outdoor life must agree woth him , and maybe one day he may tre of that life and settle in to be a Barn Cat.
Ebony Tubster spends a lot of time outdoors too , yet comes in for a nice snooze on the beds.

Smokester, if I lived way out in the country, my cats would be allowed to enjoy the great outdoors like you do. Unfortunately, too many outdoor cats disappear from my neighborhood, so my boys stay inside, which they both like, thank God! Have a very happy COTD and enjoy the rest of your years, on your terms!

Greetings, Smokey, and congratulations on being COTD! Looks like you have another "twin" here, but you also look a great deal like our big Maine Coon mix Homer. While not having lived 18 years, his eight or so have been quite hectic, with an almost terminal gallstone in December of 2007 and recovering now from being shot through the chest by some local idiots. He also spent all his days outdoors until the shooting, but we're having to make other arrangements now since he may not have enough lung health to deal with outdoors again, time will tell. Enjoy the wild country, Smokey, and long live you for your Dad and for all to enjoy!
