I'm not sure exactly what he was doing, but I walked into the kitchen (ignore the really ugly flooring!) and this is what I found....Zingo is my baby...and he knows it....

That is a familiar sight at my house. I have a sliding door that faces South and the sun beats in a good part of the day. If I have the vertical blinds closed, Buddy sleeps between the blind and the door. I love to pick him up when he is all toasty warm from the sun and put my face into his fur.:)

We had a lot of sun, for a change, this weekend and Zing would lay by the door for about 10-15 minutes, then go find somewhere to cool off, and then go back to the sun.Cats are solar powered after all....

It is a known fact that sunbeams grow cats! If you see a sunbeam, pretty soon a cat sprouts in that exact location! By the way, the floor looks good to me. We are in the middle of a renovation that had to be put on hold for financial reasons. Our floor is half torn up, and that's ugly!

So that's what I'm doing wrong! (or right, depending on which day you ask me. LOL) Yes, that's a familiar sight in this household as well. A patio room w/lots of windows and sun. Cat heaven. :)

Tinky and Mack both like their underarms scratched...they stretch their paws way out when I scratch their pitties.

Beautiful Zingo looks so happy and content with the sun on one side and food on the other. For a kitty it just doesn't get much better than that. When Groucho stretches out like that we refer to it as "doing the cute thing".
Would you give your sweetie some scritchies and lovies from me?

What a cute orange and white kitty! Owen (my orange and white kitty) lays the same way alot, not even in sun spots, just all over. It's like he likes to show off his "parts" that don't work anymore.

Spike likes his kitty pits scritched, too. Marnie likes to find the sunbeams, and Diamond lies upside-down in the window, baking her belly.

Awww that is such a cute photo!
Great pic. At lest you have a floor. I think it looks good. Our reno is over 8 years. My wife has been pulling the floor up 1 piece at a time. SO we are looking at plywood and partical board underlayment. The new secound floor is still just ply and the walls are 2x4's no sheet rock yet. Kids love it they can run from one end to the other through the walls and use the 2x4 as scratching posts.
All you hear in our house is "NO NAILS" or "GET OFF THE WALL"

THAT'S how it works! I have a cat-growing spot between the curtains and the sliding glass door. If you look closely on a sunny afternoon, you can see a rump of cat absorbing the sun. I'll try to get a photo.
What a precious kitty! Please deliver some rubrubrubs on that warm tummy for me!
