There's a sweet little tuxie w/her nose pressed up against my patio door and she's crying. :( I went outside and she ran right up to me and let me pet her. (I assume it's female; I can't see any "parts".) Boo and Coco went nuts so I put Boo in the basement first because he's a door darter and he was itching for a fight. Coco is nose to nose w/her right now at the glass door. I want to take a pic but I know it won't take well through the door. I can't go outside again because it's just starting to storm w/thunder and lightning. I do have a nice shelter outside but she doesn't appear to want to use it. She wants to come in the house, poor thing. I hope she isn't pregnant. Please. I put food and water out for her and she nibbled a little but didn't drink. If she's still around tomorrow, I'll take a pic and post it. No way this cat is feral and she appears to be healthy, not skinny at all. Can you spare a prayer that she's safe and not pregnant?

Prayers and crossed paws here for your little tuxie visitor.
If you turn off your flash you might be able to get a photo thru the glass.

Oh Mary doesn't your heart just go out to them, maybe she is lost and belongs to someone, i hope you can find her original home, or a home, of course there is always your place, ok just kidding i know you are full up.
Bless you though, and little tuxie , hope she is not preggy and she will be safe and well and in a nice warm home soon.:)

She ran around to the other side of the patio and looked in the windows there, too. I felt so bad. This morning the food was gone but it could have been eaten by a racoon, I don't know. I really think she belongs to someone and I'm worried about my neighbor Mr. Cat Kicker who doesn't want any cats on his property. I don't want him to hurt her.

Prayers are coming for that Little Tortie, and even though she look all right, she could be a stray, a recent stray dumped because shes expecting!!!
:(:(
Scrappy Apples a stray as well, and a Momma Cat to be with a collar, but that collar could be a sda reminder of the days when she was a kitten and though she had a family that loved her.
:eek::eek:
We pray that that Stray Cats not expecting anf you can help her as I did Pouncer Roccalno also a Tortie ,a few yeras ago. She wont come in to live , but she knows where to find food and I do hope that she eventually mellows and moves in!!!

Thoughts and prayers that this precious kitty finds her way (into your home, lol) and stays safe.

Well, she was nowhere to be found this morning so I'm wondering if she belongs to someone and they put her out at night. We'll see if she shows up tonight. No more cats for me, though. After my heartbreak w/Buddy, the stray that I was going to take in, I've decided that I really need to be content w/the cats I have. Besides, I promised my son that I wouldn't take in any more cats. If I keep doing that, I won't have enough money to do all the things on my list, like my England trip for one and finish my home renovations for another. Plus I eventually want to move to CA where my son is and just thinking about transporting all my Fur Posse gives me chest pains. I'll help this little tuxie in any way that I can, though.

I hate it when they are at the door begging!! Samantha was there for 2 years and I wanted her so bad but the lady wouldn't give her up for 2 years. Then there was Hunter and now Priscilla who is teaching her kitten to beg at the door too! It makes you feel so bad....:(

I know it. Especially when they run from one window to another as if to say "Ok, maybe I'll look more pathetic on this side". She tried from every angle.

I think I would of had to stay in. I always seem to find the cats that are just very scared and won't come to you unless you trap them and then they spaze but they usually calm down once they realize I'm not going to hurt them.
Hopefully she belongs to someone that will keep her indoors and away from your neighbor.

There must be a listing somewhere that these kitties are checking before they go calling. It seems an awful lot of them lately know exactly which house to go to. ;)

It always amazes me how lost kitties know exactly where to go for care and attention. Poor kitty! I pray that this sweet little tuxie finds a safe and loving furever home.
Groucho is sending you purrs, headbumpies and kitty kisses for caring about his fellow kitty.

Anybody who thinks cats are aloof and dignified has not seen a cat Velcroed to a window screen whimpering away for nom-noms.

No sign of my little fren tonight. Maybe the storms have kept her away. We've had rain off and on all day and thunder and lightning, too. I sure hope she has shelter. What am I saying? Of course she has shelter. I put one out!

And the little sweetie was hungry tonight. I put food and water out for her and she really chowed down. I'm sorry about the pix. She just would not stay still long enough for me to get a good one. I put the Fur Posse in the basement so that no one would dart outside when I went out and after she left, I went to the basement to tuck in everyone and she came back and cried at the basement window. It sounded as though she was saying "Hello?" It was heartbreaking. She wants love so badly. She immediately flops on her back and lets me pet her. Why can't she be a meany so that I don't feel bad right before bed?

What a pretty girl she is! I would think that someone would want a Pretty Princess of their own to take home and love:love:. I hope she finds a home if she doesn't already have one.

Awww - couldn't you make her a Garage Cat? ;)
She looks very healthy and not at all like a stray - nice shiny coat. Maybe you could post some pics around the neighborhood - just in case she is lost.
Then again - maybe she's just a moocher. And you know that there are those that always think the grass is greener on the other side. In this case, it probably is. :D
Mary, in the kindest way I want to say to you "who are you kidding?"
That adorable baby knows "home" when she sees it.

Yes, she's cute alright. I just have a feeling that she belongs to someone because she doesn't come around every night and the first night that she arrived, she hardly touched the food that I put out. I'm at my max w/cats and I just don't want to break in a new one. She's healthy, not injured in any way and if I do discover that she's homeless, I'll do my best to find a home for her. I won't abandon her. I don't want to put her in my garage because I noticed that my gas grill has been sprayed and she probably did it. I don't want her spraying in my garage or house. I've been saying "she" but I still don't know the gender for sure.

S/he came back again last night. I fell asleep watching TV and was awakened by his/her meowing. It's such a pathetic cry. It sounds as though s/he's saying "Hello? Hello?" There was only the sliding screen door between him/her and my Fur Posse and they were all crouched watching but they didn't make a sound. Seeing that it was past everyone's bedtime, I put my cats in their basement apt. and went back outside to feed Tuxie. S/he ate but clearly did not want to be touched this time, which is unusual because in the past, s/he'd flop on her back looking for belly rubs. If this continues, I may have to ask neighbors who s/he might belong to but there are a couple of houses that I really don't want to visit because they're rowdy and noisy and are totally unaware of the fact that they have neighbors. One house has a dog chained day and night and it barks incessantly. I feel really bad for the dog but that's another story. I don't want to overstep my bounds and just take Tuxie in to be tested, etc. but clearly s/he wants in my house. I can't take her in but I would feel better knowing that s/he's safe to be nose to nose through my screen door w/my Fur Posse.

What a beautiful little kitty! Tuxie looks small in the pictures, is s/he a baby? While Tuxie looks healthy and reasonably well cared for, I can't help but worry about him/her being outside like that just wandering around. Those meows from outside my windows would tear me to shreds. I'm praying that this sweetie will be safe, cared for, and loved. Bless you for caring enough to try to help.

No, s/he appears full grown and looks healthy enough. I know what you mean about him/her being outdoors, especially at night. I did ask my neighbor across the street if she knew who the cat belongs to and she said 'no'. My neighbor to my right won't know or care. He hates cats. If I could catch any of my other neighbors when they're home (they're all either working or doing things w/their kids), I'd ask them, too. Tuxie doesn't come by every night, though, which makes me think s/he has a home. All of my rescues planted their furry behinds on my porch and wouldn't leave until I took them in or found homes for them. LOL

Mary you are doing the best you can for the little tuxie,we cannot take them all in, even though we would love to,common sense has to set in doesn't it? although it is much easier to leave common sense behind eh?
I know there are lot of danger lurking outside and more so in your country than mine, but here it is just normal for cats to be outside,(except for this NZer who keeps them in at night) so don't worry too much, she will be used to it and probably be fine.
Still let us all pray for the little Tuxie to be safe and find a loving home soon.

This time it's a kitten, a tiger, cute as can be, looks to me to be about 9 months old but I could be wrong. S/he came up on the patio and Yodie the Yowler lost her mind like she did w/Tuxie and s/he ran off. I went outside to see if I could find him/her and if s/he would come to me but s/he was nowhere to be found. Sigh. I've got to stop looking out my window. I hope that the two of them don't "get together", if you get my meaning.

Mary honey you have a sign above your house that is only visible to kitties, just like my house, it say's WELCOME,COME ON IN, they both sound so cute, so sad that so many kitties out there do not have the love and care of a decent human being, if only we could rescue them all.:)

Does the Tuxie have a collar, or do you have a soft really stretchy one you might be able to put on her?
That way you could attach a note to it, and hopefully whoever her family is could attach one in reply.
I've read about that sort of thing being done...it can work.

That's a good idea, Candace. No collar, though. :( I'll keep it in mind for the next little fren if s/he's wearing one.

He must like thunderstorms because he's been here before when it was thundering and lightning. (I'm calling it a "he" because it has a boy's face to me.) I put food and water out again and he didn't bother w/it but didn't want petted either. He just wants in my house. He sits at the window and cries. When I put the Fur Posse to bed in the basement a few minutes ago, he was looking in the basement window and crying. It's heartbreaking. I sure hope he has a warm bed this winter, although I do have a shelter outside for him but I'd rather he had an indoor bed. Sigh.

She came back again just a few minutes ago. No thunderstorm this time. ;) She rolled over and I gave her a belly rub and I felt a lump, probably a lipoma from being spayed. I know, I said I thought she was a boy but she's a girl. It's so hard to tell unless I see all the equipment! She's such a sweetie and I worry about her walking onto my neighbor's property, you know, Mr. Cat Kicker. I just know he's going to come over here and ask if she's one of mine even though I've told him repeatedly that all my cats are indoors. As a matter of fact, I heard my doorbell ring while I was showering today but there was no note so maybe it was him.

She's learned to come around in the evening and I heard Boo yowling, so I looked out the patio door and, sho nuf, there she was. I put food and water out as usual and when she rubbed up against the patio table, I noticed a spot on her neck. At first I thought it was a warble but it's scabbed over. I swear, it wasn't there yesterday or, if it was, her fur covered it because I petted her up, down and all around and saw/felt nothing then. Sigh. I have Boo's appt. tomorrow and he has to come first. If I see that she has more marks on her next time, I'll take her to my local vet rather than drive all the way to Dr. Lee's. The little tiger kitty came around last night, too, but s/he took off as soon as I walked outside. I can't stand to hear Tuxie cry. It sounds so pathetic and I can tell how badly she wants to come indoors w/the Fur Posse. It's as though she's saying "I've heard about this place and I know it's hard to get in but it's possible because I see more of my kind in there!" Boo really carries on but maybe it's because his RB sister Peeka was a tuxie and this one reminds him of Peekie.

I hope she is ok! Poor baby, probably getting picked on being outside. I feel so bad for the outside kitties... lol that is how mom and I ended up with 6 kitties that lived in our garage when I was a teenager... we couldn't bring them in, but it was better than them being outside.
Good luck with Tuxie.

Probably, but before I would do that, I'd have to make an effort to see if she belongs to anyone in the neighborhood. I'd rather take her to my vet and have her checked out. I don't think I'd take her to the HS anyhow. Cats are stacked in cages to the ceiling (no exaggeration) and URI's are a real problem.
