I have babies!

I was dancing around work all day singing "my babies are coming!" and they were dropped off at my work tonight. ll my customers insisted on shopping while petting them -- thats ok, its all socialization! :D

I have two little non-tabby kittens (whew, I'm safe! ;)) A little blackie boy. and a little grey and white girl. The girl is apparently a little escape artist, so I'm going to name her Trixie (so long as no other kitties in the rescue had that name) and the blackie will be Mystic (once again, provided none others had that name)

Callie was SUPER with them. SUPER!!! She just wanted to sniff butts :rolleyes:

She wants to go back into the kitten room in the worst way. She was scratching at the door a few minutes ago. I'm hoping this helps teach her to relax around our kitties!

Sorry all I have is a shadowy one of Mystic. Blackies are notroiously hard to photograph, especially at night. More coming tomorrow, I promise! I'm off and have all day to play with them :)

Gosh they are sweet! They aren't eating the Kitten Chow the rescue gave me, but ate the wet food I put down. I went in to the spare room this morning to take photos like the good PTer I am, and of course the batteries died. So I picked them up and brought them into the bedroom while I plugged the charger in. These little guys found the prescription food all my guys eat and went to town!!! :eek: They were barely able to crunch the Kitten Chow but were crunching away on kibble 3 times the size! :p

I am going to stop by Petsmart today for a tastier kitten food. Any ideas? I never had problems getting kittens to eat Kitten Chow. My guys would kill for Kitten Chow!

Callie thinks she has puppies.... shhhh.... don't tell her that the puppies are actually kittens. She tried to pick them up by the scruff this morning but Cameron got upset because he thought she was trying to eat them :D

She is SO fierce!:p I'm in love with her already. So laid back and sweet. Her brother has a bit of an attitude, but Trixie will take anything anybody does to her. Of course, I have always wanted a lap cat, but I seem to always pick the cats with attitudes, so I can see myself falling head over heels for Mr. Attitude :D

Oh, and please don't pay attention to the state of the room. I had it CLEAN last week, but my daughter moved home from college this week and dumped everything in the spare room. Then Cameron came in and played in the litterboxes, which is why litter is everywhere. Ooops. The kittens aren't judging me. :o

They are such Little Dolls and Callies a Great Pup who like Csaper The Ghost is kind to every living creature!!!

Although I'm more inclined to foster elderly and sick cats, there are times when I long for another foster litter of kittens. They are such rip roaring fun. Lucky you!

As to the litter in the carpet, I was glad other people have the same problems. I use wood pellets as litter, same as the shelter, but when they break down into sawdust that stuff gets absolutely everywhere.

They have me wrapped around their little paws so bad that they got to spend time in my bedroom this afternoon. Flutter hissed and watched from her basket while they explored the bed. I wouldn't let them leave the bed (as if that meant anything)

Little Msytic went to the vet today to check out a puncture wound on his tummy and got a clean bill of health. I've noticed some sneezing from both babies, but the sneezes aren't frequent and their eyes and noses are clear. The vet didn't see any signs of a URI -- yet. She said I'll either have two sick kittens in a few days or mommy's antibiodies will fight the cold off. Either way, I'm not too worried. I've had kitties with killer URIs before and they never infected my guys. I have no intentions of having a first time.

I know! I think she'll either have blue or green eyes. Her brothers are changing but hers aren't. Cameron ADORES her... he wanted to take her to bed last night but we wouldn't let him (for fear the boy wouldn't sleep). She's the only one he wants to pet and hold. Don't worry about the litter. We all have a room that company is never allowed to see. My boys are expert "excavators", they kick that stuff everywhere! As far as the kittens go, AWWWWW!

They're so adorable and I love their names too.:) I'm glad that Callie is being good with them. Hopefully if they do get sick, it will be a very mild case. I can't wait to see more pictures.:)
