This beautiful boy is named Oliver and will be 2 years old in June. I rescued him two years ago in August and was told the mother abandoned them at birth. My friends were taking care of all the kittens at that time but couldn't keep up with them all.

This little guy went from emaciated and less than two pounds to the 11.8lbs he is today. Because he didn't get the proper nutrients from his momma, he developed very slight cataracts before I adopted him. The vet has looked at them twice to make sure they aren't getting worse, and they're not, so it's nothing to worry about at all.

He is somewhat up to date on his shots, but I will get him a vet appointment before surrendering him to his new owner. I will also pay for it, so don't worry. :)

He is neutered, if you were wondering. :)

He has also been an indoor kitty since I've had him, but he is very keen to get outdoors, the stinker.

He loves to play with many toys, his favorites are the kind that crinkle or jingle.

He is still very much like a kitten but also very sweet! If he hears you coming home he waits at the door most of the time to greet you.

He loves to have his hips scratched and patted. He also (surprisingly) likes his tummy rubbed every now and then.

To let those that are interested in him know what I feed him, he's been eating Nutro: Natural Choice Complete Care Indoor Cat (http://www.nutroproducts.com/ncccdry-in-ad.shtml) or Nutro MaxCat. He only sometimes gets wet food as a treat, my vet says it can dehydrate them, so I didn't give it to him often just to be safe.

We are located in Sunderland, Massachusetts and willing to drive halfway (up to 1-3 hours) to meet you.

I have a good amount of his food in an air sealed container if you would like to take it as well. He has food bowls, a small cat tower and a bunch of his favorite toys if you would like him to have those as well.

If you are interested in adopting this little guy, please e-mail me at [email protected]

Not sure how to do the thumbnail thing for the images, so I'll link them instead:

Aww, he's a black beauty. Why does he need a new home?

(I'm forbidden cats by my doctor because of extreme allergies, but am just curious.)

My boyfriend wasn't too allergic to him but it's gotten a lot worse to the point he's developed bad asthma. :\

I am allergic to most animal dander (which means cats can make me miserable!) I have two cats at my house and my boyfriend has two at his house. There are meds that make me very comfortable around the cats. Has your boyfriend been to a doctor and gotten their advice. You CAN live with cats, even if you are allergic to them!
