Anyone heard of them? We're going to try it this month.
The basic order is $30 for a ton of food. Then you can order specials. You place your order a few weeks before pickup and pay it in full. Then you have a two-hour time frame to pick it up each month. Its supposed to be enough food to feed a family of 5 for two weeks.
Two of my coworkers use it. One buys the "signature box" and another buys the "senior convenience box"... and both rave about the freshness and tastiness of the food.
We'll be ordering the main menu and the fruit and veggie special. You don't have to have a certain income or anything. Which is GREAT because we're struggling and the state thinks we make too much money

I have helped on distribution day at my neighbors church. I was suppose to help this month but told her to make SURE she reminds me on Fridays since while I am off, one day runs into another and I don't ever know what day it is.. She forgot to remind me.. Usually if they are shorthanded she will call on the days she forgot to remind me so I take it they weren't short handed this month.. Eddie helps a church up in Virginia where they live.. He said they handed out 590 menus this month up there... It has sure helped him and Regina since they have those grandkids living with them. (You can buy as many menu's as you want at that price)
It is the best deal around for the money and what you get! There are several churches around here in our area that do that. I just enjoy helping out and doing something while I am off.. I never bought any for myself since I have been on that diet and stuck to it. Usually I go help unload the truck, stack it and help fill orders.

We get the prepared dinners for my mother each month. She loves them. It's a great thing for anybody to use. The pickup at distribution is really nice too. There are alot of nice people there.

This is fantastic! I'd never heard of this but I typed in my area code to see if there are host sites in my area and there are several. I have a couple of friends who are really struggling right now due to being laid off work and this would be wonderful for them. Thank you so much for posting this!

I personally, have never used them, but I know several people who do. They are VERY pleased with what they get for the price and they also say that everyone there is nice and helpful. What a great thing for folks in today's economy.
**I know several seniors who buy the senior pack through Angel Food and they say there is more than enough for one person and it lasts longer than a month!
Let us know what you think after you use them!

Thanks for posting this, I had no idea about it. My parents' neighbor is really having a hard time from some things that happened to him, so I'm going to send this to mom so she can tell him about it. :)

We have it in our immediate area. Friends have gotten stuff and said it's really good.

I thought about trying it and giving it to a couple of friends who are out of work right now. I couldn't possibly eat all that food but a girlfriend and her 2 daughters and son surely could.

Of course, they are no where remotely close to where I live.
