Every time I see a beautiful, blue budgie boy like you I think of my childhood Parakeet, Bobby! This budgie is a beautiful male, he is most likely around 2-3 years old. I used to raise them. When parakeets are young, they have stripes running from the top point of their nostrils to the back of the head. As they get older they molt the stripes until the crown is solid white, the other thing is parakeets molt alot. They shed their feathers roughly once a month, this can be a messy venture since not only feathers will fly but also seed husks will end up in different directions outside it's cage. They are fun to have, especially when a mirror is placed in the males cage. He will admire himself and it's a hoot to see what he does.:p :D

He looks like my blue parakeet T-bird! I am impressed that you could get such a nice close-up photo of him, my bird always blinks because he hates the flash!

I don't know much about birds - I'm more of a cat person. But when I saw Tweeky I just had to tell you how beautiful he is! I've never seen a birdie with such pretty colors. He sounds like a wonderful friend.
