It's quite obvious to me that Lilly is a noble cat, with a profile worthy of being stamped on a coin, and a big, valuable coin too! As to why she chooses to live in a warm climate, cats do have nine lives--who's to say that one of them can't be lived among sunshine and palm trees? If she really wanted to return to her roots in Siberia and look up her relatives, a resourceful cat like herself is perfectly capable of ankling on down to the docks, signing on with some freighter as Ship's Cat, and arriving in Siberia in a matter of weeks! I wouldn't worry about Lilly.
