My cat "Nimrod" got off to a real bad start, dumped from car, half starved and a bad front leg but then his luck improved when my neice found him and gave him to me.
Sadly after nineteen great years together I was forced to have him put to sleep do to his deteriating health, I will always miss him and I will never forget him

I'm so sorry your first post has to be in this forum.
It sounds like you and Nimrod had a lot of great years together. He will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge, happy and healthy and ready to love you again.
I'm sorry you had to lose him, but I'm sure he knew how much you love him.

I am sorry this is our way to welcome you to PT. What a long life Nim had with you. May the passing of time bring more comforting memories.

I, too, am sorry that we're meeting like this for the first time. My sympathies to you about the passing of Nimrod to the Bridge. After 19 years, it'll be difficult for a while not to see his face every day but try to keep in mind that he's now free from illness and is living the good life once again as he did w/you for so many years. RIP, Nimrod and peace to your human.

You have my deepest sympathies- it's so tough to lose a wonderful friend after so many happy years- but as others have said, he's now at the Bridge, no more bum legs or ANY health problems- and, I'm SURE Nimrod wouldn't want you to be too lonely- so, consider adopting ANOTHER fur-friend in desperate need, as you adopted Nimrod so many years ago- I'm sure Nimrod will guide you to another wonderful companion, and smile when you offer the new rescue the same love and happy life that he had for so long..... there are SO many wonderful cats, and other animals, out there, who NEVER have the chance for the great life Nimrod had with his loving parents............. he'll guide you, it truly does seem to work that way....
R.I.P. and play well at the Bridge, Nimrod-- you were certainly loved and certainly returned that love for a long time....... best wishes and peace to your family who misses you so much....

Thank you all for your messages, I know I will get another cat they have always been my favorite pet/campanion and I've had several but do to the length of time with Nimrod it might be awhile, I've seen him several times as I come around corners but sadly its only in my mind. I know this will pass with
time but right now my home seems so empty. But I do like thinking of him running and pouncing on his favoriet food again...spiders..loved him for it too since I hate spiders

What a good stroke of fortune Nimrod had to be dumped in front of the place that he would call his Furr Ever Home, and to have a Wonderful Guardian like you for those 19 years.
And a Guardian who knew that Nimrods time had come, and let him pass into the Animal Angel Army where hes no longer in pain but is an Angel . Nimrod will be searching for a place where he and his Best Friend can be together Furrever in Peace and Love.
One Fine Day.

I'm so sorry about your baby Nimrod; 19 is a long time of memories, though. It will take time to heal, but you will, and Nimrod is in no more pain. Godspeed to the Bridge, Nimrod, and Peace to your family back home.
