I placed Buddy (you remember him?? he came from the woman I helped while in a homeless shelter) with an elderly man back in September of 2008. It was a long road to hoe and I THOUGHT everything was all well a good.

*BANG GOES THE OTHER SHOE* Hal calls me and tells me he can't take Buddy's antics anymore. I told him that he was looking to make Buddy into the orange cat he had years ago, and it's just not going to happen. Every cat is different, and Buddy I also told him that Buddy has been bounced back and forth from house to house and is going to be terribly confused. He was showing real signs that he was bonding with Hal (i.e., laying at his feet, sleeping with him on his bed, etc.).

I've got feelers out and hope to find a foster home or a furrrever home. Otherwise, it looks like I'll have 6 cats.

Prayers and candles need from my PT buddies that our Buddy finds a better home.

:love: WoW Donna who is counting.. Go ahead & take Buddy back in..;) We for sure do not want this baby in an enviroment & home where he not loved & wanted.. Heck if I was closer I would help out.. And Buddy looks to be such a Sweet Baby too.. Just what does he do that this man cannot handle?? I dont understand..

He wants no part of the bathroom. He's out and about in the apartment and hopefully recognizing his former surroundings. He will be put in the bathroom whenever I am not there. At least for a week or so. So far, so good. No hissing, spitting or growling. I wonder if Buddy's glad he's outta Hal's house. I got the impression that Hal either yelled at him alot or used the squirt bottle a bit too much.

Thats so sad that Hal had to be a control freak with Buddy and that he expected Buddy to react exactly the same as Cat that he had had for years.
:eek::eek:
I wish I could take Buddy, he would have all the time he needed to adjust and 10 Pals to make Friends!!!

I'm relieved that Buddy is in your care again. I remember all the posts about Buddy and worried about him in that house with Hal. Please keep us posted about him. He is such a handsome orange and white guy and I hope everything works out for him.

I'm glad Buddy is ok and with you. Is he the one that reminds you of your RB Casey?

{{{hugs}}} to you. If Hal gets another cat, I hope it is a mellow and old one.

Poor Buddy doesn't need to be where he isn't loved and appreciated but he's in the right place w/you, Donna. Here's hoping that you're able to find a good and permanent home for him and also that Hal doesn't adopt any more cats. I think that he may be too set in his ways.

Wow, wasn't that several months ago that you placed Buddy with Hal? Well, I guess Hal gave it a good try. But you're right, it sounds like he wanted a clone of his previous cat. That's too bad. But now Buddy is back with you and I'm sure you will do your best to find him the purrfect furrever home.
