I just have to share, because I know I am always skeptical buying one of those "as seen on TV" products, because they never do work!

A few weeks ago, Honeygirl and I recieved the Pedipaw as a gift. I would have never bought it myself, primarily for the reason in my first paragraph above but secondly because Honeygirl would never let me cut her nails myself. I gladly began paying the $12 or so do have her nails clipped at Petsmart at which she is still very difficult to handle there!

So, we get this silly contraption and attempt to use it. After initially turning it on and letting her sniff it to figure out what it was, she had no problem with me using it on her nails. I was absolutely amazed as any time I tried to clip her nails in the past, she would growl and nip at me and run away. With this thing, she just laid there!

I do have to say however, at the time I first used it, Honeygirl was very much in need of a nail trim (I waited longer than normal to get them done). It would have taken forever to get them to the right lenght with this contraption. So, I took her to Petsmart one last time to get them cut down to the right length and I have been using the Pedipaw for maintenance (every two weeks or so). Amazing! I would have never thought this $20 gizmo would actually work!

I'm not trying to push this product or anything, just wanted to rely my experience with it in case anyone has thought about buying it.

There have been several different threads on this subject in the past. Some people like them, and some don't. I think it pretty much depends on if your dog is willing to tolerate it.

I bought a small Dremel tool to use on my dogs, and tho they aren't really enthused with it, they will tolerate it most of the time. I just use it in between their visits to the groomer.

Thanks for the post. I have been wondering about this product. I think I will get one this weekend.

I have mixed feelings on the PediPaws. Maybe because Zoee runs out of the room with the saddest look on her face when I even take it out, and Taggart could care less what I do to him.
I just don't like how it smells, and I have to get comfortable with it because I sometimes get the nail stuck (it doesn't hurt him at all) in the plastic cover thing. But I like it, especially for Taggarts dewclaws.

I bought one and then received one as a gift for Christmas. I gave the second one to my sister and she likes it too.

I take the cover off, it's easier to use. I recently got one and it worked really well. I'm quite impressed and after getting sued to the sound Blue was fine with it.

I didn't think it would work well on large nails, but it works better than I thought. It's good to keep your nails trimmed if you keep up with it. :)

I love my Pedipaws, too. I find it works just as well as the dremel, with MUCH less mess. I can do it on the couch or where ever now. My boys also seem much less sensitive to it than the dremel, probably because it's lower power.

When Fozzie hears the Pedipaws going, he races in like a bat out of hell. :D He's like "hotdoggggs!" because that's what I reward them with after I'm done with each paw.
