Over the weekend, Ben lost all use of his rear, he couldn't stand at all. He was dragging himself using his front legs. He also became incontinent.

The vet was able to move his appt UP to today and Ben is currently at the vet for his xrays. Please pray that this is fixable.

OMG poor baby :( I hope it is fixable! (((hugs))) to poor you and Ben, aww poor lil' man. If not, can't he become a special needs pet? I know plenty of dogs who live perfectly normal lives with those doggy wheelchairs. I do hope it's fixable but I'm sure you will make the best decision for Ben based on what they find, I hope it's nothing serious.

Ben has severe hip dysplasia. However nothing shows up to explain the rear being down. I pick him up shortly and tomorrow first thing in the morning he has an appt with an orthopedic surgeon to see about an FHO (femoral head ostomy) and tests for a bulging disc.

I will need to learn to manually express the bladder and rectum to this evening, at the least.

Thank you for ALL your well wishes and support.

Ask the Vets if a pair of "Doggy Wheels" would help him.

Please let us know what the orthopedic says. Maybe home physical therapy for his back legs could possibly help.
Sending lots of thoughts and hugs your way for you and Ben.
