Cassie Cat's Gotcha Day

Tomorrow (February 9) is Cassie's Gotcha Day. She came home from Harmony House with me on a sunny, chilly day in 1997. Her adoption fee was $50 - one terrific investment if you ask me. Here's my girl. Cassie Bug, I love you and I'm sorry for all the time I have spent away from you. I'm glad for these past several weeks between jobs because it's given me a lot of time to be home with you!

I was in the kitchen washing dishes and she was supervising and waiting for a Pounce treat. So spoiled she is - I cut them in half because she doesn't eat them when they're too big.

Fifty dollars for such an exceptional supervisor? A deal at twice the price!

You know she may punish you for going back to work? Edwina did it to me once when I was off work for a bit and home giving her undivided attention. She hit in a closet behind the safe (and I SWEAR she closed the door when she went in there!) I accused my step-son of letting her get outside. We were frantic!

She sat with her back to me for a few days...but eventually she got over it!
