What's wrong with my bubby?!

My dog is a year and a half old, part Shih Tzu part Yorkie, and lately he's been doing this weezing thing out his nose like he either can't breathe or he's trying to blow his nose. He's done it before, when he was younger, but then he stopped so I didn't worry about it. But he's been doing it a lot lately. Should I take him to the vet or is it normal?

My guess would be allergies. But then I don't really know. I think it's called reverse sneezing...Billy does it a lot too and the vet doesn't seem to terribly concerned. I would at least take your pooch to the vet to see what he/she thinks.

I thought it sounded like reverse breathing also and
I agree with Mugsy, the best think to do is call or visit
with you dog's vet. Good Luck with this.

We just had a long thread on this topic...have to hunt for it. Sounds like your Bubby is having "reverse sneezing" like Mugsy says. My doggies do it periodically. It sounds scary, I know but is quite common in dogs!
