A man in Wilmington, CA shot his wife, 5 kids then himself today.
He was a laid off worker who lost his job last year. This is becoming way to common here in California. Last month a disgruntled man went to a Christmas party where he shot and killed 9 people, then set the home on fire. He was upset at his wife who had divorced him and won a settlement in the case.
Pretty crazy times here in the Big Orange!

Well played sir.
My thoughts and prayers for the family, and victims.

More victories for guns!
There has been one family shooting in each of the last three months here in SoCal. First it was a man who shot his wife, mother-in-law, and three sons.
Then on Christmas Eve a man dressed as Santa shot his ex-wife's family -- killed 8 and wounded two girls (one who answered the door -- Merry Christmas -- boom!)
Now this man who shoots his wife, two sets of twins and 8 year old daughter.
Easy to get, easy to use, efficient - guns.

It's really sad! :( I wonder what these men would done if they didn't have a gun nearby! I doubt they'd run around half the town to try to get one - and if they would, they probably would have calmed down before.
I hope B. Obama will help change the firearms law!

You hoplophobes are so amusing, predicatable and ignorant of the truth about personal firearm ownership.
And Randi... I hope he tries it too. But for different reasons than you want him to.

Could everyone show some respect for these 5 dead kids and keep the bickering out of this thread.
Lets have a moment of peace and prayer for these innocent children.

You are so right. They were such beautiful children. My heart breaks for them and every family that must endure such tragedy.

There are a lot more of these incidents than we hear about. Very common for people to turn against their own famillies when they've been hurt. The children are always the victims, the adults always the players....very sad to even have to hear about such heartbreaking news.

Sounds like it was agreed on by his wife and him, of course we may not ever know if that part is true.

More ammo for the anti gun folks who endlessly parrot the same things over and over again.:D
The guy looks really familiar, if he was a security guard at the hospital he was probably moved back and forth between facilities- I knew quite a few of the guys and gals when I worked there.
too bad..

I suppose that either Karen or Paul cleaned this thread, although I generally like to keep the actually useful posts :).
Its sad that people use guns for /this/ and not for their real purpose: defense.

All I can think of is those poor children....told poppa would protect them...poppa had a gun so he could keep them and momma safe. What an unthinkable horror that the last thing they knew was that "protection" was a lie. So incredibly sad.

I am no gun advocate but enough already. What about the lady that drowned all her kids. The gun was the instrument, the dad was the killer.

I deleted the thread and reposted it.
I just don't understand why people have to inject comments about how something like this happened, instead of looking at the result and the tragedy of it.
Apparently this man was not a security guard as first noted by the media.

How frightening! What must have been going through the children's minds? Thoughts like this keep me up at night.
