Do you have a "dream pet"?

Do you have a pet that you dream of having in the future? Not just, "a dog" but a breed, color, etc.?

I do. I'd like a tall, handsome, chestnut selle francais/ thoroughbred cross with a lot of chrome and awesome movement. I'd like to name him or her Discoland and call him or her Coco.
Of course, I'll probably get a horse in the future but I doubt it will fit that description totally if at all. :p It's fun to dream anyway!

I voted yes. Ever since I was a kid I've always wanted a huge orange tabby without white and name him Garfield.

To date in my life I've had/have:
3 white medium hairs
2 torties
1 lilac point
1 gray
1 gray/white
1 black
1 brown classic tabby

I take what God gives me, even if the color isn't what I would have looked for.

Sassy (one of the torties) has one leg that has orange tabby stripes on it. I often joke that her leg is the closest I'll get to my orange tabby. LOL

Yep, quite a few:

-a female solid Russian blue. I've always thought these cats were absolutely beautiful.
- a black persian cat with flamey orange eyes.
- a friesian stallion. Just pure beauty. :D
- a pearl lutino cockatiel.

Of course my dream pets are rats, but I'm not too fussed about specific colours or features. I'll have 'em all. :p

Canine:
My absolute dream would be to have a Collie - definitely a male. Sable and white (not Mahogany Sable, but clear Sable). I'd love if the lineage included a Tartanside collie but this is only of that said Collie was a Rough. If he was a Smooth he would have to have HawkEire. I want him to have a sweet disposition, intelligent, to be a snuggler and a gentleman. He should have smooth lines, graceful curves, a beautiful expression...and he has to have me at hello. His lineage must include show lines, his parents must be health tested. I can't wait for this day!

Avian:
I hope my Tiel will be with me for many, many more years. But I'd love to have a Whiteface Cinnamon Pied (or Whiteface Cinnamon Pearl Pied if it were female). I'll always have a bird, so I know this will become a reality!

My dream dog had always been a black and white Border Collie. One day this beautiful brown pup came into my life. She is my dream dog and I can not imagine life without her. She gives me a reason to live. I marvel at her beauty every time I see her. :love:

If I had time/land/money I'd love to rescue a wolf/wolf hybrid (I don't agree with breeding them so I would never purchase one) that needed a home. I would enjoy having horses someday too. But honestly my dogs really are my dream pets, it has always been a dream of mine to have siberian huskies.

Yes I have thought about adding a second - but I'm currently living back with my Folks at this time and Dad draws the line at 1 bird. Deo is 8 and I've had him since he was just a baby. My baby is such a love though. He's always out and the Folks talk to him while I'm not home, so he's never alone :) He even gets to listen to his favorite music while I'm at work. Gah. I'd love to see photos of Casper!

Nope, not really. My "dream pet" for years was a Toller... and now I have two, neither of whom could be more perfect. That said, I have one with a medium amount of white, one with minimal white... so now I need one with lots of white, LOL. I think I'll have to wait a long, long time for that to happen though! I'm quite content with the dogs we do have and don't have a desire for anymore at this very moment.

Scruff is a great boy and I recently learned that he is part Great Dane...which is my Dream Dog....so I guess, even without my knowledge, I have my dream pet. I still would like to rescue a pure GD, but my house just is not big enough....too many rescues to have another permanent.

When I was a kid my dream was to have one all black and one all white Clydesdale....I still would love them, but I know that dream will probably not become a reality.

Well currently, I'd love a shelter dog. Any Shelter dog is fine with me whether it be a mutt or purebred. I recently came to love Rhodesian Ridgebacks but I don't think I would be able to get one in the near future considering they're pretty large dogs. This is sorta a stupid one but I do want a Fennec, they are just so, so adorable and I'd love one. I know you shouldn't get a pet based off just that and I have researched them before, they really don't sound like my kinda pet though.

My dream dog in particular would be a pointed-eared mutt with huge ears, so I can name him/her Doby after the house elf in harry potter :D I'm not really into cats to much either, but I LOVE Russian Blues. Gorgeous Gorgeous animals, if I were to ever get a cat I'd prefer a Russian Blue!
