I think Boomer may have a hairball (or at least i hope thats it). For the past 3 or 4 days he has been getting in the cat puke crouch. He has not been vomiting or producing any hairballs just heaving. I tryed to sneek some olive oil into their food tonight and he really wasnt down for that... Im not really sure if he pooped today either. One of them did and i thought it was him because i heard him digging like crazy but now im thinking maybe it wasnt him. Blotter has a covering problem and Boomer will do it for him as he loves to dig to china (mostly on the side of the box not even helping :p Hehe). He also loves his cat grass and just reasently killed it because he loves to lay ON it , so he has been getting a good amount of fiber lately. I also just finished switching their food over to EVO, i did it very slow so i dont think that would be the problem.. sorry for rambling. Any thoughts? I plan to call the vet in the AM and see what she thinks. Thanks.

You can buy stuff like Petromalt, which helps them pass hairballs and not vomit them up. I used that for some 10 years until I found Pet Talk!
The directions suggest you put a small pearl sized amount on a paw and let the cat lick it. Do that a few times per week at first, once per week on a regular basis. However, my cats just flicked their paw and sent the drop flying across the room. So I would smear it on the upper lip, and let them lick it from there to clean up. It helped.
Now I have found a food which does all that and I don't need to use a supplement. (Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul)
Hairballs are common in cats, particularly long haired ones.
Best wishes!
I tried the Petromalt too for my two devon rex cats. Was NOT a big hit. I read somewhere online, using just plain old fashioned style Vaseline. Sure I thought - - guess what, it worked.
I did the paw bit, the chin/lip thing too. While it worked sometimes, I was always on the lookout for a little lump flung off somewhere. My 9 year old female (the one most likely to have a hairball) just loves licking away at a little scoop of vaseline on her food plate sitting right next to her food. I don't mix it in or try to cover it up. She has some dry Taste of the Wild kibble on her plate and then off to the side a dollop of Vaseline. I do this 2x a week and so far, so good.

To be on the safe side, I would get your cat to the vet. Maybe there is an obstruction in the GI tract.....Please keep us posted!!!
