White powder around the nose of a lethargic Kitten

My friend Cathy emailed me, and said that the barn Kitten Brandy is lethargic and has what looks like white powder or flaking around the nose.:eek::eek:
Shes about three mohnths old and all I could suggest was a vet visit ASAP, and it sure sounds like upper respiratory, and serious at that.
Any advice , please.:love::love:

Flaky nose could be from dry cold weather...but the lethargy might be something else.

Better safe than sorry! If no vets are open, hopefully the local Humane might have a vet on call.

When you mentioned the white powder and lethargy and said she was a barn cat I wondered if she might have gotten into some of the lime or stall deodorizers?

I DIDNT EXPLAIN THAT WELL, SHES ALONG WITH BAILEY AN EX BARN CAT , WNOSE MOM WAS KILLED, AND MY FRIEND CATHY TOOK THEM BOTH INTO HER HOME.
THEY ARE NOW GOING ON 4 MONTHS, I BELIEVE AND BRANDY SEEMS NOW TO HAVE THIS TROUBLE.
