We watched the season finale last night and I was so happy to see a "deserving winner" ! Bob was my favourite throughout Survivor Gabon and for that reason I feared he would not win:eek: To see him get the $1 million and the $100 K was such a pleasure. I really liked Suga and Matty but Bob was just so consistently good at everything he did.

Well done Mr. Crowley - enjoy your day :D

I watched it this season after Paloma was voted out. And honestly I never had a "favorite". Usually I do, but not this season. I do know I did NOT like Corinne. I thought Sugar was much more mature than Corinne after all was said and done. However, I have not watched the reunion show yet.
Also, Sugar looked so beautiful at the finale. Corinne is pretty, but her nasty personality makes her not so pretty.

I also thought Bob was the most deserving of the 1 million prize. At the beginning I thought he was a little too old to compete with all the younger people competeing.

I am incredibly happy with the outcome of this season. :) Bob was my favorite from day one. Its really ironic how much Bob resembled my neighbor(who is also a high school physics teacher) in both looks and personality.

I agree 100%. Corinne's remark on the night of the final voting was such a low blow.
I thought Sugar looked absolutely gorgeous last night and was very proud that she didn't let Corinne get under her skin. Sugar played the game well and I was hoping she would have gotten the $100k for player of the season since Bob won the million.

Our cable went out during the house of cards challenge and then came back on during the jury question/comments section. I was mortified at Corinne's statement and wish that CBS would have edited it out and not given her any more "glory". I was glad Bob won too. I'll have to see if I can catch the part I missed on a repeat :)

As far as Corinne goes, I thought she was trying to stand out from the crowd. I thought she was acting the part and playing it to the hilt. I suspect she is a bit&h on wheels, but played it for all it was worth, since she wasn't going to get any money. I think Randy was equally rude and a bit "off" personality wise. Bob was a gentleman and intelligent as well. He deserved to win. In general, I thought the jury ended up looking a bit like spoiled brats, unhappy that they didn't get far in the game.

I thought this season was OK, not so exciting. Could they be running out of good contestants? Did you hear that Randy and one other one, I think the dark haired lady who was one of the last three, had auditioned for the spot something like 15 times! Can you imagine that? Sounds silly to me.

I think Jeff Probst (sp) looked pretty darn cute. I know he dyes his hair, but he had a good haircut and dye job this time. He could put his shoes under my bed anytime.:eek::):eek::D:D:D

Russell is a real player however, I don't believe he deserves to win.

My personal favourites are Natalie and Mick - if those two went to the end, it would be a tough choice. Natalie has surprised me in so many ways - great competitor, doesn't complain about everything and is a decent person with everyone around her. Plus, she is a smart girl;)

Russell has got to go! He turned my off right from the start when he emptied all the canteens. As for him finding all the immunity idols, I'm starting to wonder what's up with that. This week it was obvious that he didn't expect to get 2 votes. I was hoping he'd get blind sided and get the boot since he admitted to having the immunity idol but didn't play it. I don't have a favorite at this point, just anyone but that lowlife!

I haven't liked Russell from the first episode, although (much as I hate to admit it) he's been a good player. I hope he doesn't win though. I'm rooting for Shambo myslef, she does stuff that's annoying at times, but I still like her even though she's not all that smart of a player. We'll have to see how it all shakes out.

Anyone thinking that Russell gets invited if they ever do another all-star survivor again? lol

You have to say yes to that and like Richard Hatch? He'll get tossed very quickly should he participate.

During the finale last night one of the contestants summed the game up nicely.

Talk about a sore loser! When the final vote was counted, you could see how angry Russell was by the look on his face. What nerve asking the winner to give him the title of Sole Survivor for $10,000! She won fair and square and earned the prize. When he said that, I had to turn the reunion off. A friend who watched the whole thing said he didn't get any better. How could he even think he'd sweep the jury? It's good to know they saw right through him.

If he should be on again, I hope someone will whoop his sorry butt!!!!!! What goes around comes around.

I keep reminding myself that Russell's season had not aired when the Heroes vs. Villains season was being filmed, so he had the advantage that no one had seen him play the game. That said, it should tell them something that he was villainous enough to have been put on the Villains tribe, even though his episodes hadn't aired yet when the decisions were made. That said, he makes my skin crawl, and I hope they find a way to get him (and Parvati) out soon.

I hated Russell last season. This season I'm actually liking him. If people are going to be that dumb.... Sure they didn't see his season and see how much of a snake he was. But some of them have played this game three times now. HELLO!!!

I also agree that JT deserved to go home. That Russell could convince someone the sky is purple and they'd go along with it. He just has a way with words.

I think it would be great to see Sandra take control and get Russell booted (even though I like him now). And I think Rupert will be more respected now that people found out he was right and Russell was lying about playing the idols.

I loved the shocked look on Russells face when Parvarti played the SECOND idol. LMAO!! That was awesome!! I think this was the best play in Survivor history. Even better than the all girl blind-side alliance. :D :D

momcat
04-23-2010, 01:15 PM
Survivor is high on my list of favorite shows. Last night was one of the best yet! JT was really dumb to give the Immunity Idol away especially to Russell. Boy, did he misread who's in charge on the Villan's side. While I don't really like Parvati a whole lot what she pulled on Russell last night was classic giving away both immunity idols with one to Sandra no less. Russell thought he was doing her a favor then Parvati turns around and totally screwed him! He never saw it coming. At the end of tribal council, he turned to Parvati and said, "You've got some explaining to do." Rupert saw through him right away. Can't wait until next week to see how Russell handles his loss of power and control. I'd love nothing more than to see him voted out. Can you imagine how he'd be on the jury when they question the final 2 or 3?

There's something I've been wondering about since last season, how does Russell keep finding all the immunity idols? He only missed one and that was found by Parvati. It seems as if he goes straight to them almost like he has some inside information about where they are. Could he just be that lucky? It was interesting that Russell played the idol last night, obviously he knows all is not well in his alliance. Next week seems so far away!

In the up coming show clips, it showed Russell, Rupert, & Colby doing the buddy up hand smack. I wonder if it won't be the ladies against the guys type of thing? Russell is so evil that is how I envision the devil. Those slippery shifty eyes of his give me the creeps. Sandra has the idol & has been keeping her mouth shut & not making waves. Terri has been very quiet through the whole thing. That is not the same Terri I have seen in the past?

It was interesting how Danielle went against Russell and told Parvati what was up then said something about it at tribal council. I'm very glad that Sandra has the idol (or does she?). Russell has got to go! I do think that they're starting to realize how he lies and plays the others against each other. At this point I don't have a favorite to win, all I want is to see Russell go down and hard. The only reason Rupert is in trouble is his confrontation with Russell when he told him what a slime ball he is.

Hi fellow Survivor fans!

We're in the homestretch now, the finale starts in a few more minutes. Any predictions on how it will play out?

I think Russell will make it to the final 2 with Parvati. As for the jury and Russell, I don't think they'll be too kind as they all pretty much know what he's about. (the glare he got from Rupert last week...ouch!)

But the way this season has been, anything is possible. My prediction, though not necessarily my choice, is Parvati winning it all.

What are your thoughts?

Bengalz
05-16-2010, 08:05 PM
I suspect you're right:( My feeling is if a villain needs to win, I would hope for Sandra or Jerri however, Russell and Parvati seem to know just what to do to get their way.

What bothers me most about this season is that the "winner" appears to be the one who manipulates and abuses the most - not a great example for very young viewers. Just sends the wrong message:mad:

I loved it when Sandra threw Russell's hat in the fire. Right up to the end, Russell really thought there was no way he could lose. I was watching the look on his face as the votes were counted and he got none.

This was the first time I watched the reunion part. How many times did Jeff tell Russell to put a sock in it? Once again Russell came across as an arrogant bully refusing to accept his loss and the reasons for it.

As for his suggestion that viewers vote for the winner, I hope it doesn't go that way. Having the winner picked by the other survivors adds to the excitement. Even if the final vote was up to us Russell still wouldn't have won.

Boston Rob against Russell in a future series would be fun to watch but I hope it doesn't happen too soon. Enough Russell for now!

I never liked Boston Rob, but loved the fact that he called Russell out about his strategy.

Russell didn't have a strategy to win. He is a conniving twerp that just had a plan to make it to the final group and thought that his playing of 'the game' was enough to get him the win...

The one part of the game I never really thought about was bringing along people to the finals that were MORE hated that you are.

I guess there never has been and most likely never will be a more hated player than Russell.

Of course, They could have a naked Richard Hatch to play should they ever pit Russell and Rob against each other......

It would be an Immunity Challenge. They would have to rub up against each other until someone gives?

Probst has signed on for two more seasons:D And, I think he does a durn fine job especially dealing with the likes of someone like Russell!

I was happy to see Sandra win. Parvati played an outstanding game and many feel she should have won because she excels at challenges whereas Sandra's track record in challenges is pretty much nil. However, I think Sandra played a skillfully strategic game and stuck to her principles - I respect that.

Jeff really nailed it when he explained that Russell is "missing" some real elements of the game and needs a huge "time out" to find some kind of balance - if that is even possible:eek:

LOL.

You have to remember that in SURVIVOR, evil has to prevail, just like in real life.

It's like seeing a co-worker you hate, win employee of the month.

To win the game you have to have a little bit of cunning, have to lie, know when to fold, know when to take a chance.

I fricking hate Russell for his ability to find idols, lie, bully people and talk smack.

But, I have to say that I watched because I wanted to see him crash and burn.
