Krista's (luvofallhorses) Rocky passed away this morning.:( She is not up to posting this and will add to it when she feels up to it. Rocky was 12 and was very much loved by Krista and her family. He was a good boy. Please keep Krista in your thoughts and prayers.

as painful as it is to post this I feel I need to do it for Rocky.

He did take a turn for the worse last week and died Sunday morning. We had a vet appt. scheduled yesterday for him so we could see what we could do for him but he died suddenly on Sunday morning before I went to work. :( I still don't want to face reality but it is sinking in now that's he's gone for good. :( I will post a memorial later for him, I can't bring myself to do it right now. :( I'll try tonight though.. but thank you so much everyone for your support. :love:

Rocky you were one of those dogs that is rare to find.
We have had you since I was 11 or older.
I remember when we had to put our basset/beagle mix
down around Christmastime and you bothered him so much. ;)

You definately filled the void and brought
Christmas/holiday spirit around in this family
and it's going to be a very hard
Christmas without you now and always!

You're the reason why I get so excited around Christmastime
like I am a little kid all over again.
You have always sat beside me when I open presents. Even though you won't be here physically with us this year, I know you'll be with us at Christmas and always! :love:

You have touched all the people that
was lucky enough to meet him especially our family. You just have
that effect on everyone!

You have touched our family in so many ways and
I just feel like my heart has been ripped out and
broken into a million pieces, dear boy. Like part of my heart has went with you.

You never met a person you didn't like
like and vice versa.
Everyone loved you and you loved us back
unconditionally!

You've been to so many family reunions and was in the Christmas card last year just because you stood right by me like always! :love:

When you went to the lake for family picnics
you would go with us and always
went by the water with me. So everytime we
went to the lake
you would swim a little and be right by my side.
It will be hard
going without you now. :(

You always had a sparkle in your eyes when he
looked at us and when you lost that sparkle this week we knew something was terribly wrong with you.

I love you big boy. I know he had a great life with us but
I have to say that doesn't make the pain any easier to deal with.
When I came home today and he wasn't there to greet me yesterday or today I can't even explain the pain.

I just hope Rocky knew how much we loved him. Now that I have 2 days off it still hurts more than anything.

Our other furbabies are comforting us and helping us
through this and our family is helping each other out
to be there for each other. We haven't lost a dog for 12 years and the pain is very fresh.

Dear Rocky,

It has been a week since you have passed away. :(
I miss you so very much. We all do.
I feel like you are still with us in spirit,
I don't know why I just have that feeling you are watching over us.
We all were so blessed to have you in our lives, 12 years was too short to us, though.

You just made us so happy in everything you did and I am very blessed that our other furbabies do, too.

You were just so amazing, I can't even describe in words how cool of a dog you were and so faithful loyal and true to us.. I could go on all day and I surely would! :)

I know I said this before, but you were truly a treasure, not one you just happen to find..

all of our other wonderful furkids are truly a blessing

I really appreciate it and so does my family and Rocky.

I know we'll always love him and miss him
and keep him alive in our hearts especially with Christmas coming up. Dear Rocky,

tomorrow is Christmas and I don't know how we're going to do it without you. I know you're here with us in spirit but when I am opening and giving out presents especially your gifts, it's going to be so hard without you sitting by my side. Of course, I am sure one of the other furkids will. They have been so good since you've been gone. Did you tell them to shape up, dear boy? Especially Rudy? Well he's still as feisty as ever and picking on your best friend, Jenny just like he used to bite your heels and your tail. :rolleyes:He needs to respect his elders, so send him a message to behave! ;)

I think Tiger misses you more than anything and even though he may not know why you're gone, he sure seems to know how to make me feel better. Remember how he used to rub up against you when you were out in the living room? You never growled at him and he would literally chase you all over the place! And at night you both would lay on the couch together. :love:To every one of us, you were a treasure even the other furkids and I love you and miss you so much, dear boy. We all do.

So when Christmas comes tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you dear boy and know you're here with us in spirit. It's Christmas and so hard without you here. Today we celebrated your life watching videos of you as a pup. :love: That brought back the best memories ever. My co-worker got me a frame to put a picture of you in and I will do that soon, dear boy. I miss you so much. Merry Christmas dear boy we love and miss you so much down here.. Dear Rocky,

it's been 2 weeks today since you passed away. :( I was thinking back today how much you loved us, you would have done anything for us. How much you made us happy with just your tail wagging until we would pet you and you would attack us with kisses. :love: We were watching videos of you a few nights ago with your first Christmas we bought you a nylabone. You opened it without our help, you were indeed such a smart boy! The memories of you are still so clear to me as I was a child when we first got you. Remember when we went sledding you wanted so bad to go on? You just sat at the top of the hill with my parents watching out for us like you always did. You were a true loyal and faithful companion.

You seriously could do no wrong. Remember when you stole Dan's hat when you were a pup? He got so upset with you! :) When you got hit by that car, we thought we were going to lose you. :( I am so glad we didn't and you gave us 8 more years of unconditional love. You were the best dog ever. I don't think another dog could compare to you. You were our special black boy and one in a million. I am just so glad we found you and you found us. I love you so much, big guy we all do and miss you so much. :love: Be good up at the bridge okay and welcome all of the other babies that have passed to the bridge with open paws, okay dear boy? It's Christmas and I miss you so much. :( I have to say the pain has gotten easier but I'll never be over losing you. It still hurts. I still love you so much even though you're gone physically. We have a new puppy that you and Jenny had a part in sending her to me and your family.

She will NEVER replace you or Jenny. She is a doll and a charming puppy just like you were but she has a naughty streak just like you did when you were a puppy! What's better than sending me a little black fuzzy version of your puppyhood? She is no lab, but she has the heart of one. She is bringing us so much joy just like you and Jenny did. You still do.

I just want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Jenny too at the bridge and thank you for sending Dixie to us. Be good up there. I wish I could give you a big hug and I wish you were able to sit with me this year opening gifts. Today December 14th you have been gone 2 years. I can't believe it's been that long. I was so blessed to have you for 12, wonderful years. Rather than focusing on your death, I focus on how much you loved life til the day you left us.

Thank you for being such a wonderful friend to me and my family. You loved Christmas and unwrapping your presents. It was so hard losing you towards Christmas since you loved it so much. I do now focus on the good times, there were hardly any bad times with you.

You were such a good boy and we miss you so much. The pain is easier to deal with but you will always be in our hearts. Love you and miss you sweet boy. :love:
