Hello, Fred, I cannot believe I am the first one to compliment you!! I am so sorry that you are not with us anymore, but you are probably celebrating this day with all of your friends on the Raindow Bridge. You seemed like such a special dog. Thirteen years, though! Wow, you had a pretty good life! I hope you recieve many special things on your oh so special day!! Congratulations on Dog of the Day! :D

Dearest Fred! I can imagine your joy when you found all those little tennis balls hanging from a tree!! :D My first Golden (Taffey - RB) also could find those tennis balls anywhere. I am sure the two of you have met up already and are playing ball together all day long. She was 13 1/2 when she crossed and was such a joy in my life just like you were to your human!

I have since gone on to have the opportunity to share my life with other wonderful Goldens who also embody that wonderful Golden personality you shared for so long with your human. I pray that they will find joy again in loving another furry friend like they did with you!! I will look forward to Taffey introducing me to you someday! :D

Fred your face is an open book. I can see love and devotion in your eyes and I know your human felt exactly the same way about you. Your story was an extremely touching one and it has been a while since I got teary eyed reading about the Dog of the Day but today I certainly did. I am so sad for the hole that has been left by your passing in the life of your human, but I know that your memory will live on and on. I hope there are lots and lots of tennis balls there at the Rainbow Bridge for you to play with and lots and lots of water. You are just precious!

Fred, what a beautiful dog you were:) I also got teary eyed reading about you, it made me think of my rainbow bridge dog, Keisha. I know you are at the bridge playing with all of our loved ones we've lost & having a wonderful time.
Congratulations, you were one great dog!

Dear, sweet, beautiful Fred. Have you met my Jing yet?? Like you, she just couldn't resist a tennis wall or water! She was my heart dog, my best friend and devoted companion, and I know how how deeply your family misses you; just like I miss her. But I know she and all of our cherished heart dogs who have left for the Bridge, are making Fred feel very welcome and very loved until that day you are together again. Fred, a human couldn't ask for a more devoted companion and friend than you. I often wonder what I ever did to have been so blessed by such a pure and perfect love. I know your human feels exactly the same way. Thanks to your human for sharing your beautiful bond of lifelong love with us all. I feel truly honored to have met you. You are our most special and beloved Dog of the Day, a real Golden treasure and so, so much more. Love to you and your family. Sandra, Star and Cody.

Me too, tears here as well. Fred you are the epitome of all things wonderful about dogs. Yes, I think you are celebrating with us at the Rainbow Bridge as you are honored on this special day. Celebrating a life well spent with a guardian who cared for you very deeply and will never forget the gifts you gave nor the time you shared. I feel more tears coming....

What a wonderful senior Golden face!!! I can understand how much your family misses you...but you are now at the other side of the Bridge, waiting to see them again sometime. While you are there, you may run into two Golden girls, Natasha and Irina, who have been gone for many years but are still very much missed. Celebrate your day with all the friends you have made, sweet Fred. You deserve this honor, and I'm sure you will remain the Dog of the Day every day for your loving humans.

Dear Fred, it is an honor to meet you today and learn of how you special you are. Even though you are gone to the Rainbow Bridge, your love continues day by day with your special human.

You are even working your doggie magic still today, because so many of our PetTalk friends will now see golden apples as a reminder of the golden spirit of play and fun.

Congratulations on being Dog of the Day - what a deserving fellow you are!

Fred, your handsome face is full of wisdom & love. Please look down on the earth from the Rainbow Bridge & wish some of your wisdom & love into the minds & hearts of humans. Then the world will be a better place!

I'd like your grieving owner to know of something I read in the foreword to a book recently. The author had lost his beloved dog, too...& he wrote that his dog would be...'Always in my mind, Forever in my heart.'
