Hello!
Congradulations on your cat of the day. We went through the same thing with our cat Zella. We made the mistake of letting our vet give her the steriod shot for her allegies which they said was food related. And for about a month it was like we lost her. She was like a zombie and it was heartbreaking. If tulip is allergic to her cat food try Trader Joes Holistic cat food. It completly saved our cat. Since we started her on that she has not got any rashes and her fur has become glowing. Our vet recommended science diet anti allergy cat food. Turns out the only thing she was allergic to was that cat food. Remember the Vets are in a business and shots and special food mean profits.

I agree completely with Zella's Dad and thank you both for telling us the sad side effects that can occur when our furry friends are given certain medications, surgeries and treatments. Remember: most vets know VERY little about food and will push what they sell in their clinics (usually far from "food" - when you read the first 10 ingredients and have no idea what they mean that's your clue). I am in Canada but never feed my cat anything made here as the companies are not obligated to write the ingredients are as they are in the US. My cat has had Chronic Renal Failure since September 2005 and the canned foods like Wellness, Merrick, Almo and Evo have saved his life. Also, don't forget cats are carnivores and need real meat, only found in canned food. Dry food alone causes obesity and other health issues - convenient for us means suffering for our pets sometimes. Declawing also can drastically change a cats personality - they definitely bite more and obviously should never go outside.
I hope that Tulip gets back to her young self soon and urge people to use the internet to do their research and find out what side effects other people have noticed in similar circumstances.

Tulip!!! I hope your allergies are a thing of the past!!! Our Riley is allergic to a host of things, including the food he ate!!! He was treated by NAET, and currently eating Pet Promise canned chicken and the dry food for older cats. A fellow PT recommended the Pet Promise and it save his life. He was even allergic to the Allergic Diets!!! Hope all for the best for pretty Tulip!! HAPPY COTD!!!

Beautiful Tulip. You are precious beyond words, and it breaks my heart to think that you are still suffering the horrific effects of the steroids.:( As a nurse I know how powerful they are, with potentially life changing, adverse reactions.:( I hope and pray that with time you will be back to your happy, joyful, life loving self again; I can only imagine how devastating it is for your Mom to see you otherwise. So many here have offered up their experiences and recommendations regarding anti-allergen foods; hopefully one them will work for you! I'll be keeping you in my prayers, precious Tulip!
Love to you on your day of honor, sweetheart! You are especially deserving of our extra special Sunday Cat of the Day honors! Cuddles and kisses to you, Tulip! Get well soon!:love::love:
