Happy Dog of the Day to you, s*u*p*e*r*s*t*a*r Roscoe! What a heartwarming, inspirational, life affirming story is yours, sweetheart! So many heroes in your amazing tale, beginning with your guardian angel, your Mom; your dedicated and committed healer, Dr. Becky Hanback; and most of all, YOU, Roscoe! Your Mom never lost faith in Dr. Becky, Dr. Becky never gave up on you, and you never gave up on life! Talk about the healing power of love and positive thinking!
Sometimes, when it comes to dealing with the health issues of our companion animals, the threshold for "letting go" is set not nearly high enough by some in the veterinary community, I believe. As a nurse and animal lover, I'm thrilled to learn of yet one more totally committed vet who refused to give in, or let go, before it was time; before every humane, last avenue of hope was explored! And just look at you now, happy and whole once more, living life to its fullest with your final, forever family!:D
And speaking of your Mom, I can't help but believe that your daily forays "across the street" to visit her were more than mere serendiptiy; that a higher power had a very important job in store for her down the road...:)
Congratulations precious Roscoe, our extra special Sunday honoree! We're thrilled to have had the chance to get to know you and your wonderful Mom, and the amazing Dr. Becky. I wish for you a very happy, fun filled day celebrating your "top dog" status with your 7 pup siblings, Major the Cat, the 6 winged ones and fishies!:D And of course, wishes for many, many more healthy, love filled years with wonderful family! (And hopefully only happy, "well visits" to Dr. Becky!) Hugs and kisses, woofs and wags to you Roscoe, from me and my girl, Star!:love::love:

Roscoe, what a hard time you had, sweet boy. Thank goodness mommy found you behind that bush and looked after you. You have educated a lot of us today with things we didn't know about parvo and we thank you. I'm glad you can look forward to a long happy and now healthy life with your loving family. You are beautiful dear Roscoe, both inside and out. Hugs and treats for you today and congratulations on being our DOTD.

Hello Roscoe,
You are just too adorable. I am so happy your momma found you
when you needed her.:) Big congratulations on being our very special
DOG OF THE DAY. Sending you treats & hugs to celebrate.:)
Roscoe is not only a handsome dog but also a survivor! His new owners are to be congratulated for the message of encouragement and information about parvo. It is far more costly to a dog and to the bank account than are the vaccinations.

Roscoe, y'know how we say that people resemble animals? Well, I'll admit that when I saw your photo, it reminded me of my dad. He definitely had the basset hound face. However, after reading your story, I just had to post. What a lucky boy you are to have such a wonderful vet. Some of my rescue cats have been lucky in that way, too. In fact, my orangie Creamsicle is a cerebellar hypoplasia baby and my vet was out of town when I rescued her and if I had left it to the vet who was covering for him, my little Cgirl wouldn't be w/us now. I waited it out til my vet came back and he stayed up all night w/her until we knew she was going to survive. He did the same thing when my peke-a-poo dog had puppies. He spent the night at his clinic taking care of her. We're so lucky to have found good vets who realize that our pets are family. Lucky for you, too, that your new Mom sprung into action on your behalf and then asked if she could be your forever Mom. This is such a wonderful story and I'm so glad that you're back to your usual bull-in-a-china-shop self. Enjoy your day as DOTD. :)

Hi, Roscoe! You are such a handsome boy. You really went through a lot with the illness, but it's great how your people made sure you got the right care and didn't give up on you. You certainly look happy and healthy in these great pics of you. Enjoy your special day. Congrats on DOTD!:D

Awwww, Roscoe! You are VERY wonderful! I love stories with happy endings!! Please ask your new mommie to register you for PT so we can see more photos of you being a healthy pupster! And, when she is done giving you hugs and snugglies, please have her give you some more from me. Happy Dog of the Day to you, sweetie!
