Darling Dickens,

It was lovely to see your face this morning -- and just like seeing my sweet RB kitty Murphy again! You truly do look exactly like him, and sound like you are every bit the sweet and loving cat that he was. We had him for 19 years, and I hope you are with your family for at least that long, enjoying good health and happy days.

Speaking of happy days -- CONGRATULATIONS on being our Cat of the Day today! I hope you have lots of treats (maybe some chips and cheese curls? :D) and extra snuggles today to celebrate!

And besides your heartwarming story, your beautiful face, your name as well put a smile on mine! Years ago I rescued a litter of kittens from a storm drain. One I kept for my own, and named "him" after my favorite author, Dickens! That is until he went for the "big snip" and we found out he was a she!:p No problem...I re-named her after Dickens' wife: "Elizabeth," who soon came to be known as Lizzy for short! She lived a happy, long, long life...21 years! And I hope for you and your family, many more years, love filled years together! Congratulations, cuddles and kisses to you, precious Dickens!
